Description

My last post before Christmas! Ok this isn't exactly a 'Christmas' image, but it's my 'hood, it's filled with light (and this is the season of lights), it's a warm and lush street, and it makes me feel love everytime I walk through it. So accept it as my holiday wish to you all. For those of you who celebrate Christmas to your core, I wish you all the blessings and heart in the world. Ditto for those who celebrate Chanukah (ask me another time about dreidls...and potato latkes...). For those who celebrate the Solstice: It's central to the whole time: Celebrating light in the season of darkness. So here's to light, illumination, dance, celebration, and caring for our fellow humans. I'm deeply grateful to you all, always will be, and I wish you the best light and love in the world. And when I come back (which is all of 2 days from now), I'll---well, never mind, I'll be the same person I am now, so forget that whole point. (I like to get dramatic.) What's important is, MERRY CHRISTMAS, EVERYBODY!!! AND HAPPY SEASON OF LIGHTS!!! And THANK YOU for your wonderful and endless gifts throughout the year. I am forever grateful and always will be!
Peace and Joy to All, mark

Mark, I don't think you could've chosen a more perfect pic for this holiday dedication to your friends. Getting to see the area you live in, and most certainly this particular area must have a special meaning to you. There is such a peacefulness about this place, highlighted by the colorful flowers that lures one in. Have a Happy and Blessed Christmas and Holiday Season.

Oh, this is really gorgeous, Mark! Are you sure this is Chicago? LOL I really love all the colors and the gorgeous sunlight! The city office should use this to promote tourism!

May you have a wonderful Christmas Holiday, and may the new year bring you full healing and freedom from pain, and all things good, buddy!

I don't know, Mark, not one Bah Humbug in your text above. In any event, Jesus Christ was not born on December 25, possibly though in the Spring, as some sage historians claim. Much of the Christmas festivities was adopted from certain pagan rights at this time of year. But, alas, in my comment I omit the meaning of your holiday salutations in this glorious posting of your Chicago flora setting, my friend. So lush! There is absolutely nothing like that in my hot and dry area. Have a Wonderful and Glorious and Painfree Chanakuh and year 2020!

I shall never get tired of your street shots, Mark. They are always worth seeing. ALways. You captured the light so beautifully. Love it!

A perfect image for these dull and dreary days that I see, both in the skies above and what is happening here.
