Description
These two don't go together---the colors are very different---but they're both ceramics, from Mexico.
The top is a toucan, and the bottom is a singer. Her expression isn't fear: It's rapture.
I'll do one more---a full arpillera...

Strikingly colorful and sharply detailed photos of these stunning wall ceramics, Mark. I thought the bottom one was reacting in mock surprise, but it also looks like it's singing. Oh well, 'toucan' can play at this game. Sorry, I couldn't resist the pun.

I love the fact that the toucan's wings form a heart. The singer... wow, amazing! With closed eyes and the open mouth, with flowers on cheeks and birds on chin, she sings the song of her people and the people of the whole world.

I would imagine she's singing "Bird, bird, bird - Bird is the word...." Sorry - couldn't help myself...... π
Anyway.... Both of these wonderful ceramics are wonderful, and so colorful you can't help but smile when you see them. They remind us that there is still beauty, color, and joy to be had in this troubled world.

Once again interesting collection, The color's game on the objects surfaces is the thing I often see in your art, so how the ability to see behind the surface of the objects to understand their meaning.

You certainly do have a magnificent collection, Mark...the lower piece reminds me of Munch's "The Scream."

Clearly, not only are your βmessesβ quite orderly, you are also an industrious duster. All of of your collection are not only interesting and beautiful, they are also spotless!! πππ. ( great respect from a non-industrious duster)

Wonderful, both of them, but I love the colors and patterns of the lower one the most.... naaa.. I do love the patterns very much on the upper too.

These are wonderful. I adore toucans ... my favorite tropical bird. I actually have giant toucan sculptures hanging from my ceiling in the living room. Doesn't everyone???

I just literally had to comment on this Toucan bird and I cannot believe, how close [!!!] - not only the colours are, but also the style of our native Aboriginals "Dot paintings". They used all natural paints from organic plants, found in the Australian bush. It is truly remarkable !
