I would use stackingt to avoid DOF issues

Thank you very much for your hint. I am using the Raynox 250 macro conversion lens and it is a bit difficult to use photo stacking with this tool.

I understand prutzworks comment, but I'm not sure you were trying to 'avoid' DOF issues: It seems to me, this photo is about the way soft and medium clarity interact. You have a few portions where there is sharpness, but the overall feeling is of screws in a very intimate state, and we 'intruded' on them. Or, it's as if the screws were at the molecular level, and you 'intruded' upon them to get a photograph. It's an intimate shot. And the softness makes them more abstract, as much about light and shade as about shape. And, with Barb (bakapo), you captured gorgeous colors. We normally don't see these colors on screws; but, in your shot, we see them vividly. A must-see, full size...beautiful.
