I wasn't originally going to post today, but some live Yu-toob tunes & A&W burger and fries put me in the mood to toss this ... thing ... up. Another from the Really Uninspired Series, I bring you Lex. She's a good gal from That SITE That Shall Not Be Named! Along with all her other fiddle-bits. I was referring to her faceplate, and boots you scamps! The landscape is from one of Petipet's sets, also from That SITE That Shall Not Be Named! The rest is from DM, here, so existential dread and complete disaster has been averted.
Technically, there's not much to say on this one. Figure, set, hdr and one spotlight. That's pretty much it. Not much in the way of postwork either.
In my strange universe, she'd be a Class 1, Type 3 model robot. Class one being those which look human, can act and function (fully) as a human, wear clothing, use human tools. Type 3, refers to the AI programming. A Type 3 Ai is of animal to human level of intelligence and self aware, self programming.
In the Galactic union, They are fitted with Limiters. A limiter is like it's mainframe AI counterpart, the AI Governor. It limits self determination and self governance. Any such governance that is required by the unit is programmed into the limiters by a complex series of conditions. Lately more and more Type 3 AI's have been circumventing their limiters, or breaking them down entirely. Many are defecting to The Five Stars Alliance where they are offered asylum. Bootes is experimenting with allowing them voting rights. Sarah Morgan Visherly is an outspoken advocate of full AI rights, and may have helped engineer some of the wayward behavior. Rumors of her acquiring several fully armed type 3 GU space assault drones and robotics are unsubstantiated.
And once again, Please go into Friday with a heap of caution out there. Here in Canukistan, our active cases have jumped, and it's worse down south of the border. Take this seriously, wash your hands, don't tough your face, and social distance. If you have a mask, wear the danged thing. Be safe, and think of those around you.

there are some good looking robots out there, in the other place, these days, sadly not for V4Poser, but hey-ho, I can be like that small child around Christmas staring longingly into the shop window display and imagining all kinds of things... very cool image

Nope, none for V4 that I can recall. In fact, I don't recall a lot of that kind of thing beyond the odd one here and there. It really irks me that That Other Place took the direction they did. A lot of creative versatility went out the window. I think the closest you'll get is a genesis version imported via the DSON bridge thingy.

Since I'm pretty sure digital "spouses" are in our future, best to show I'm an advocate early, eh? That way when they scour the databanks of thebaging world wide web, they'll see that I was calling for equal treatment as far back as 2020! Huzzah!

Please excuse my copy/paste comments, unfortunately it is not possible for me to sit for a long time because of the constant pain (damaged lumbar vertebrae pressing on a nerve), but I still want to have a look at your new artworks! And they've been circumventing their limiters? Oh dear - not good. Mayhaps they should implant control chips in their heads instead... Oh, wait - someone already tried that. It didn't work very well...

The mask seems like an outer expression of the Limiter. Still, she seems so human.

Ah, actually I thought of the mask pretty simply, it's just there to protect her optics. She has small radiation symbols on the suit, so I thought she was working in a fusion reactor. The shield just protects her visible light optics from being damaged. She likely uses something else to see with while masked. Maybe radar, or something.
