I am the author Lyle Aryn. Writing is my first love, my one true passion. Every since I was able to string a sentence together, it's all I've wanted to do. Websites where you can find my work and more are below.
I started using Daz Studio October 23rd of 2018, just as something to dink around with. I'd been signed up with the sight for a while, and would occasionally remember to check for freebies. I was surprised at what I had when I finally loaded up the program. I just started playing around with it, figuring it out. I'd say about 92% of what I've learned in the program I've learned just by playing around with it.
In December I went from being a dutiful son looking after his mom, to the full-time, no nights or weekends off, caretaker of my Mom. As someone who struggles with depression, anxiety and a mood disorder or two, this change has had a drastic impact on my own personal care and well-being. I turned to my blossoming love of doing digital art as a way to cope with the mountains of stress on my shoulders. I do miniature painting, too. But when you haven't slept in 4 days, handling a brush can be very messy. Not being able to paint to my own personal satisfaction was making this avenue of relaxation increasingly frustrating.
Daz Studio has an undo button that you just don't get with painting miniatures.
As my skill with the program grows, so does my confidence. I did the cover to my fifth novel, "Because the Night" using Daz Studio, as well as new covers for two previous releases. (Though they haven't been updated just yet.)
I'm looking to always improve my artistic work, no matter what the medium, and Daz Studio is no different.

You know, you could try it with an emissive surface since you don't see the sky in the scene.
LyleAryn
I have. Sun-sky doesn't generate a sky. Infl fact, I had to move the camera because it captured a spot beyond the edge of the building, and I got a blank space.
Sun-sky just generates the light. While I could have lit the scene with an emmisive plane, getting sun-sky set up on an outdoor scene tends to result in a much faster render. It's also set to a pretty natural color.
Thanks for the feedback! I'm happy for your comments.

Very beautiful looking rebels! Do they have causes? A most delightful 'first meeting' depiction! Fantastic creation.

Lenny gets caught staring, and instead of playing it off cool, she panics and runs away.
Thankfully it won't be their last meeting. :)

An excellent image, and I'm really enjoying the "behind the scenes" descriptions of your process. Definitely gives me some ideas to play around with.. I love Lenny's black with white tips hair.

Thanks. Even though I had to give up on Cafe Curls, I didn't want to give up on the color. It took a bit to set up, and a custom mask, but it looks great and I'm ready to move forward.
Thanks you for stopping by.

The two main characters are very intriguing. You did a wonderful job on both of them. Now what Iām curious about is who are the white figures at the edges of the render? They are very mysterious.
That is great that you were getting reduced render times. The one you help me with tonight took two hours. The Render engine then stopped at 60%. I am wondering as to when convergence was achieved or if this is some time out value . I want to thank you for all the help you have given me as a beginner.
LyleAryn
Try putting the samples to max. If it still ends early, then it probably did hit the convergence range, and so was "complete." If it's still grainy, maybe try also bumping up the render quality to 2.
The one I did "Meet Barry and Gordon" I actually stopped at 13% because it looks great and had already run for 5 hours. I figured if I found problems with it, Then I can always run it again, but if I don't, it's looks fine for the book.
Lenny sorta sees most people as shades of grey. If you go back to the one where's she's facing a crowd from the stage - it's a common theme for her.

Very nice info, so I can get into the picture much better. I find the picture design super LyleAryn. The beautiful parallels through the "similar" poses, and the grey texture for the background people I find outstanding. Great work!! I love your hair! ā ā ā ā ā
