I am the author Lyle Aryn. Writing is my first love, my one true passion. Every since I was able to string a sentence together, it's all I've wanted to do. Websites where you can find my work and more are below.
I started using Daz Studio October 23rd of 2018, just as something to dink around with. I'd been signed up with the sight for a while, and would occasionally remember to check for freebies. I was surprised at what I had when I finally loaded up the program. I just started playing around with it, figuring it out. I'd say about 92% of what I've learned in the program I've learned just by playing around with it.
In December I went from being a dutiful son looking after his mom, to the full-time, no nights or weekends off, caretaker of my Mom. As someone who struggles with depression, anxiety and a mood disorder or two, this change has had a drastic impact on my own personal care and well-being. I turned to my blossoming love of doing digital art as a way to cope with the mountains of stress on my shoulders. I do miniature painting, too. But when you haven't slept in 4 days, handling a brush can be very messy. Not being able to paint to my own personal satisfaction was making this avenue of relaxation increasingly frustrating.
Daz Studio has an undo button that you just don't get with painting miniatures.
As my skill with the program grows, so does my confidence. I did the cover to my fifth novel, "Because the Night" using Daz Studio, as well as new covers for two previous releases. (Though they haven't been updated just yet.)
I'm looking to always improve my artistic work, no matter what the medium, and Daz Studio is no different.

She has that stern look. Well done on that.
LyleAryn
Thank you. I'm really like how this one turned out.
Darkglass
Very much so....put a pair of glass on her and her part time job could be a librarian...LOL
LyleAryn
Thank you. I thought about glasses, but I figure she would have had the surgery.
Saby55
Awesome portrait, great work!!👍🖐
LyleAryn
Thank you Saby!
starship64
Nice character. She looks like she's not somebody to cross.
LyleAryn
Indeed. I am glad that comes across. I'm really liking how this portrait turned out, for such a simple set up. Might have to try simpler setups for future character portraits, too.

Great looking character! Marvelous portrait! Most excellent image.
LyleAryn
Thank you for the kind words. Day two, and I like this portrait even more.
bucyjoe
great expression
LyleAryn
Thank you. I like doing subtle expressions best. More exaggerated ones can look... Odd if they aren't dialed in right.
daggerwilldo
Very powerful and statuesque. A strong looking character. Well done.
LyleAryn
Thank you for your feedback! I really liie this character. I might have to come up with excuses to use her in other art.

Gorgeous mature lady.
LyleAryn
Yes she is! The world of fashion design may be unforgiving, but Professor Yeffa prepares her students diligently.
Madbat
Waste of talent until she gets picked up by Hollywood and makes a killing designing costumes and wardrobe.
LyleAryn
Indeed! But I think part of her pushback is to get Lola to work harder for it.

Honestly I think you absolutely nailed her look and stern, no BS bearing. She has definitely been around the block more than a few times - and it shows. She'd be a hard one to study under, but once done, I suspect her students would be in demand.
Excellent work, my friend!
LyleAryn
Thank you. Exactly what I was going for! Have a blessed evening, my friend.

I am not familiar with her name, but I think you have captured her essence from what Rod has said
LyleAryn
Thanks. This is the first I've shown her, but I doubt it will be the last.

Pay attention at the back there! Go to the head for a dose of the cane! Hahaha! Those were the days! She's awesome! I like this very much indeed! I got caned at school, but not because I was naughty, just because teachers liked to set an example! I'm serious! I never in my whole time at school and beyond, did anything to warrant corporal punishment!
LyleAryn
I was put in detention for reading too much.
Also got in trouble for writing too much. Handed in a 15-page report. It was 5-page minimum. Got an F for it.
I think teachers mistrust students that don't act up.
ArtDeCroh
A very interesting character. I interpret her as success-oriented and somewhat strict. That's brilliant work!
LyleAryn
Thanks.
