I was mesmerized by this when I first saw it...the man has such an organic pear-like and twisted-in-on-itself face: I love the wild modeling and bulging forms and the star-burst eyes. And the stand-up hair. He's resting against something...and then your surrounding is like a mass of optical illusions and effects, a bit of Escher with Piranesi and a lot of 20th C abstraction...I love your background, with all its intersecting and plunging planes. What a wild and yet rigorous vision---this strange abstract man, inside a hall-of-mirrors-set-of-forms-and-lines, etc. all really inventive. And one side balances the other (dark vs light) with what appears to be a street lantern over the man. Amazing piece; and one can see your later bryce forms emerging here, only in b-and-w, and in pencil....
