Another wow...it's like a monumental portrait (I mean in the sense of civic monuments and paintings)---a man of importance, and yet with real darkness inside him, who peers out with a staunch and proud pose, but who had real mystery and pain inside him. Your shading is really dramatic; and that gaze---he looks right at us, while his face faces on an angle---is magnetizing, as we drift into his shadows and fall into what almost feels like tragedy...Also, you have a grain in the paper which makes it like an old, decayed photo. This is really powerful, Steve. It could just be an innocent bystander, friend, whoever...but you brought out real dark depths in him. Amazing and haunting drawing.
