Description
I didn't have much time to work on a render today, though I do have a new one cooking.
In the meantime, I was looking through the archive, and found this one from October of last year. I used it to practice a little post work. Nothing major, just a filter applied. I used "Sketchy - Toon Edge and Art Style Shaders" inside Daz studio to give it that odd black linining effect. In GiMP I used the "Beautify" plugin to apply a "Gothic" filter. So often a filter/tool will be names for something that it's rubbish at. Like, who uses a wrench on a monkey, anyway? In this case, the "Gothic" setting did exactly what I wanted. I could probably fiddle with it some more, but then again half the art of art is knowing when to put down the brush/pen/mouse/etc.
The render that's cooking now is showing off a great produce found right here on Renderosity, as well as being a bit of shameless self promotion as it features a character from my first book. I can't hardly wait to show you!

A totally rad image! Most excellent presentation work. I thought I wanted to see the movie 'The Abyss' but after viewing a couple trailers, I decided against it.

The Abyss is a great film. Especially if you can find the Director's Cut. I actually consider it to be one of the best films ever made.
I got a list of films I consider "perfect." The Abyss definitely fits the bill!

Thank you. Now that I think about it, I got to go in and tag shanasoulmate. The base is "Monster Bride" but I added to it from one of their "scarred" collections.
