A fine depiction of a gamer! Wonderful work.

Your descriptive reminded me of a books series, 'Otherland' by Tad Williams. Have you read it. Quite serious VR gaming going on in that four book series. It was a very long read for me but I did manage to get through it. At the end, I do believe I was glad I read it but it sure wore me out before the end.

I hadn't heard of it, but I will definitely add it to my list.

Partly how the video game stuff came about was I was part of a facebook group for "LitRPG" for a bit. I didn't join the group, it pulled me in. And they annoyed me. LitRPG annoys me. So for a while I thought about doing my own version, addressing a lot of the crap that bugged me. I started creating this imaginary MMO.

Eventually, though, I ran into a serious ethical issue with the group creator and decided it just wasn't worth it and quit the whole scheme. However, I still had all that "design" done. And the idea of the characters in this series playing an MMO appealed to me. So it evolved into that.

Besides, I knew from the get-go that Lola was going to be a gamer girl. No regrets!

:) Thanks! Yeah. I'm kinda getting back to PC gaming myself. I tell myself its research for the book... but four hours research a day is probably a little excessive! I like how the lighting came out, and the minimal fuss. I can always go more complicated, but I like the whole "Lit from the glow of the screen" idea. I got one similar of Lenny somewhere.

This is a very wonderful scene. I am really getting into using light emitting surfaces. They really work a lot better in Daz Studio than they do in poser. This scene really grabs me. Well done.

Thanks. They're quite versatile, too. You can apply a texture to the emmisive tab. If I were to show the screen I'd go and render something to be on it, and with the emmisive field I could have it backlit, which is a neat effect. I did render the poster behind her. One of these days I'm going to make a nice paper bump map to spruce those up a bit, but for now... I think this will do.

Nicely done. She's cute! I've heard that computer gamers sometimes forget to eat. I've only ever been an in-person tabletop gamer, and there's almost always pizza involved.

It evens out because she actually LOVES food. She makes rather interesting sounds when she eats, too. So probably good that she forgets when she's on comms... Thanks for stopping by! The D&D group I was in was hosted at a vegan's house who was pretty adamant that no meat/junk food/etc was brought in. Eventually you get used to "snacks" without much flavor. COVID happened, and things came out during the lockdown, so now I'm between groups. :(

Next time, I'm going to make sure I can bring my own junk to eat.

Too funny, My gamer name in runescape has to do with donuts, but believe me I would not be forgetting to eat no matter the intensity of the game. If its in reach its eaten =)

Thank you. I tend to eat when I'm distracted. Like, if I set down to eat a meal, I don't eat much. But if I got stuff to chew on while playing a game or watching a movie, then I eat fine.

LOL! This is awesome Lyle! Gamer chicks. They talk more than play the game. My exwife and I played World of Warcraft back in 2006 and 2007 ish. She's loved all the friends she made, but hardly played. The game was like a big chat room for her. ... then that led to other things causing the divorce like sexting pics of her nudity to other guys. That lil'whore. Good and bad memories.

Aww. Lola is a bit of a junkie. When she plays, she tends to play too long. Which is why she likes to go over to Lenny's for a girl's night playing because Lenny makes sure she's fed and doesn't stay up too late, lol.
