I am the author Lyle Aryn. Writing is my first love, my one true passion. Every since I was able to string a sentence together, it's all I've wanted to do. Websites where you can find my work and more are below.
I started using Daz Studio October 23rd of 2018, just as something to dink around with. I'd been signed up with the sight for a while, and would occasionally remember to check for freebies. I was surprised at what I had when I finally loaded up the program. I just started playing around with it, figuring it out. I'd say about 92% of what I've learned in the program I've learned just by playing around with it.
In December I went from being a dutiful son looking after his mom, to the full-time, no nights or weekends off, caretaker of my Mom. As someone who struggles with depression, anxiety and a mood disorder or two, this change has had a drastic impact on my own personal care and well-being. I turned to my blossoming love of doing digital art as a way to cope with the mountains of stress on my shoulders. I do miniature painting, too. But when you haven't slept in 4 days, handling a brush can be very messy. Not being able to paint to my own personal satisfaction was making this avenue of relaxation increasingly frustrating.
Daz Studio has an undo button that you just don't get with painting miniatures.
As my skill with the program grows, so does my confidence. I did the cover to my fifth novel, "Because the Night" using Daz Studio, as well as new covers for two previous releases. (Though they haven't been updated just yet.)
I'm looking to always improve my artistic work, no matter what the medium, and Daz Studio is no different.

You nailed it. She is a beauty. I love this scene. You are an awesome artist. I think she is happy to be out of the box. Luckily she hasn't aged a bit and still looks good in front of the camera.

Thanks, Dag. That really means a lot. I get so carried away on these passion pieces, then I get nervous to actually show anybody. Vicious cycle. It's nice to be appreciated.
And yeah. It's good to get her out of the box. I think we'll be seeing more of her real soon.

This is lovely work.
LyleAryn
Thank you! That's so kind of you to say.

Very nice, but there's some poke thru. The sleeve from her dress cuts in her breast.
LyleAryn
Well, shoot. I missed that. Hmm. Guess I'll have to run it again. Thanks! I think what happened is that when I applied a push modifier to fix a problem with the elbow, it pushed the sleeve into her breast. I should have re-run the simulation.
Thanks!

Cool!
LyleAryn
Thank you. I'm going to re-run once I fix the outfit and edit the post. That's Daz. Sometimes you fix one problem just to fine another! I'm glad you could stop to leave a comment!

Yes, she is a very beautiful character! I am glad you decided to 'do her right.' She came out looking 'marvelous dahlinck.' LOL at my failed attempt at sophistication. You've come a long way, baby, to get where you're at today!, to coin a phrase. Love your work. Keep it up! Bravo!
LyleAryn
Thank you. It's good to hear. I'm going to have to run a scene with her and her blue eyes, because they were really nicely done. But for me, personally, she just looks like a brown-eyed girl.
I get a giggle out of your scenes. Thanks for sharing them.

the hair is great - most soft curls you buy are looking bad ... those are wonderfull
LyleAryn
Oh, yes. I saw this in the shop, and thought "That's got to have been touched up in post or something." But I got them anyway. They definitely slow down your render, but they are fantastic. Really good detail, plenty of options to play around with. It's a great reminder that dForce hair isn't everything, and you don't have to go full fibermesh to have exquisite detail. I really love it.
