I am the author Lyle Aryn. Writing is my first love, my one true passion. Every since I was able to string a sentence together, it's all I've wanted to do. Websites where you can find my work and more are below.
I started using Daz Studio October 23rd of 2018, just as something to dink around with. I'd been signed up with the sight for a while, and would occasionally remember to check for freebies. I was surprised at what I had when I finally loaded up the program. I just started playing around with it, figuring it out. I'd say about 92% of what I've learned in the program I've learned just by playing around with it.
In December I went from being a dutiful son looking after his mom, to the full-time, no nights or weekends off, caretaker of my Mom. As someone who struggles with depression, anxiety and a mood disorder or two, this change has had a drastic impact on my own personal care and well-being. I turned to my blossoming love of doing digital art as a way to cope with the mountains of stress on my shoulders. I do miniature painting, too. But when you haven't slept in 4 days, handling a brush can be very messy. Not being able to paint to my own personal satisfaction was making this avenue of relaxation increasingly frustrating.
Daz Studio has an undo button that you just don't get with painting miniatures.
As my skill with the program grows, so does my confidence. I did the cover to my fifth novel, "Because the Night" using Daz Studio, as well as new covers for two previous releases. (Though they haven't been updated just yet.)
I'm looking to always improve my artistic work, no matter what the medium, and Daz Studio is no different.

Nicely done.

Thank you!

Very nice work. The hat and hair came off well. They can be quite a pain which is one reason I don't bother with hats much. So great job technically, but more than that an enjoyable scene and character.
LyleAryn
Thanks. Yeah, I avoid hats even though irl I love them. But I'm trying to make more of an effort in that regard.
I wish we'd get more advanced ear controls though. I got an elf-girl (Aryll) who has a fondness for hats. Her ears make that a very difficult thing to manage. Plus she's got really long hair.
Thank you for stopping by. Always a pleasure.

amzing render - i like lhat
LyleAryn
Thank you, brain! I appreciate it.
dragongirl
With all her wonderful garb and gear, she looks quite saucy, and ready for anything. But it’s that almost hidden shadowed gaze that truly reveals her.
LyleAryn
Thanks. I was a bit nervous when I hit the render button, because setting up the shadows can be so tricky. But I really like that a closer look reveals hidden depths. I'm really glad when its noticed.

This is so beautiful, Lyle. That light is incredible and so natural. It also really highlights the beautiful design and colour of the outfit too. Wonderful. One really believes this pirate in the courtyard. :)
LyleAryn
Aww. Thank you very much. That is really wonderful. I do appreciate the feedback. You have a beautiful day, now. Indulge in some food you aren't supposes to have.
eekdog
Great description about her, nice pose and that outfit is super.
LyleAryn
Thank you Eek. I'm pretty happy with how the whole thing came together.

Very nice render! Great looking 'character.' And so it goes. As the stomach churns and the world turns, we spill out our opinions on each others work. We love it. We take it to heart. We can't wait for more. But in the end, where does it end. The capacity of innovation, is it endless? Or does there come a point in this repetitious long cycle we are still not aware of that the reset button gets pushed and everything starts all over again. Do things change after the button is pushed? Or is it just a broken record that never ceases to end. And how many millions upon millions of billions and trillions of times has that button been pushed? So much for today's philosophy lesson! Have a great rest of your weekend. LOL.
LyleAryn
Lol. Yeah. I'm just glad to keep playing her. You have a good weekend too, my friend.

En garde! Nicely done: Periwinkle is a fantastic character.
LyleAryn
Thanks. I think she's a keeper. She's quite the sweetheart. Genuinely wants the world to be a better place.
I'll have the Sky Ranger version done in another hour or so.

Stunning image, great work!
LyleAryn
Thank you very much. bows
chasfh
Very nice work! Very realistic lighting, natural shadows (I rather like that her face is hidden).
LyleAryn
Thanks! I think its some of my best lighting work. Getting the hang of lighting a scene, I think. You have a lovely day, chasfh.
bucyjoe
good one
LyleAryn
Thank you, joe! Have a great Sunday.

This is a grand character and the back story is excellent. I do hope we get to follow her and Sheila on some of their adventures. Really nicely done. It is great that so many divergent clothing items played nice together. Really well done.
LyleAryn
Thanks! Had to restart the Sky Ranger version, but it should be done before too much longer. It also is turning out nicely!
jaxprog
Great character development work, Lyle. She's a bit naïve with a good heart and doesn't like thugs. So she can be taken advantage of but if she realized it she'd probably get pissed and swish that rapier.
LyleAryn
Indeed. She's easy-going but that don't mean she can't lose her temper. Makes her more likely to try and talk a crook ibto vhanging their ways, but if she's been swindled or used... Watch out!
Madbat
Huzzah! Have at you, and stuff!
Excellent render!
LyleAryn
Thanks! She's a feisty one.
STEVIEUKWONDER
Such a remarkable clothing combination and action to boot! That pose emphasises her rear quarter magnificently!
LyleAryn
Lol, thanks. Got to work those assets, you know? You have a good one, my dude.
RodS
Can I borrow her? I could use a good urban ranger. My Girls are all off trying to save the world at the moment... 😉
Really beautiful render, and killer lighting, good sir!
LyleAryn
Well, sure! She's always up for adventures.
bugsnouveau
Really great stuff
LyleAryn
Thanks, Bugs!
ArtDeCroh
Excellent image! ..perfect scene and characters! Really nice outcome!
LyleAryn
Thank you. I think so, too. I got it up on DA now, and it had a "favourite" just seconds after posting. I think she's going to make an impression over there! So glad you left a comment.

Love it!!

Thanks, Nemesis!

Top work. I especially love the drape of her cape...
LyleAryn
Thank you. With the shirt, I was pretty sure I was going to have to ditch either it or the jacket/cape, but I get fiddling with it until it cooperated. Thank you for the appreciation!
