Description

Picking up some _steam_ now. The second member of the sky pirate crew, Penelope! The base model is Malorie for G3F by Deva3d. One of two pirates I got from the clearance sale. Add in Naia from Fastgrab, and I guess I'm getting a bargain! I also picked up the base outfit from the sale, but added in the waist scarf from Romi for G3F from the Daz Store. I wish it had some alternate color options, though. Maybe I'll play around with it. Still, not a bad color combo. The scene renders fast enough (about an hour) that I won't feel bad about going in and doing a recolor later. Not quite sure how big the crew is, but now we have both the first mate and the cabin girl. I'll be working on the strong-arm later, and the Captain after that. Oh! I now have a working title for the setting I'm developing for the play test. "Machina Rosa Gothika" or "Red Machine Gothic." Basically word salad, but I think it has a nice ring to it, and evokes a certain mindset. I'm toying with the idea of putting together some sort of recruitment poster, putting out the call for adventurers to come and playtest. Got some wonderful folk here. I'm sure _some_ of you might drop in for a session or two. It's fun pushing themes in character art. Usually I think, "Would a person really wear that?" Or I try to put them in different clothes if they're on a different "day." For this, though, I got to keep it a little simpler and push themes instead. Though I'm already picturing the crew infiltrating a high society gathering. Maybe I just want to see Penelope in garters, lol. (Under the dress, of course.) Lighting was set up to highlight her face, with the spotlight coming from below so it would also catch the pistol behind her back. I wanted the viewer to go, "aww, she's cute" and notice the pistol later. Like, yeah. She _is_ cute. But she'll make you walk the plank if you try anything fresh! Second spotlight from the side to give her face some definition. Both set to "rectangle" mode. This one isn't as bright. Then I added some glowing cylinders to the light fixtures because I couldn't get them to light up just adding an emissive to the "light source" surface in them. Weird. This is the door panel from DM's "About Time." i wanted a little motion, so I flared out the skirt to one side, and the earring. As if she just spun around to say hello. What do you think?
