I am the author Lyle Aryn. Writing is my first love, my one true passion. Every since I was able to string a sentence together, it's all I've wanted to do. Websites where you can find my work and more are below.
I started using Daz Studio October 23rd of 2018, just as something to dink around with. I'd been signed up with the sight for a while, and would occasionally remember to check for freebies. I was surprised at what I had when I finally loaded up the program. I just started playing around with it, figuring it out. I'd say about 92% of what I've learned in the program I've learned just by playing around with it.
In December I went from being a dutiful son looking after his mom, to the full-time, no nights or weekends off, caretaker of my Mom. As someone who struggles with depression, anxiety and a mood disorder or two, this change has had a drastic impact on my own personal care and well-being. I turned to my blossoming love of doing digital art as a way to cope with the mountains of stress on my shoulders. I do miniature painting, too. But when you haven't slept in 4 days, handling a brush can be very messy. Not being able to paint to my own personal satisfaction was making this avenue of relaxation increasingly frustrating.
Daz Studio has an undo button that you just don't get with painting miniatures.
As my skill with the program grows, so does my confidence. I did the cover to my fifth novel, "Because the Night" using Daz Studio, as well as new covers for two previous releases. (Though they haven't been updated just yet.)
I'm looking to always improve my artistic work, no matter what the medium, and Daz Studio is no different.

Excellent work! Nice to see some golden oldies with a new twist! Looks almost "fresh out of the box" now...
LyleAryn
I agree! I think I'm going to convert to g8 just because I can. It's a gorgeous set.
Darkglass
Definitely different...and a standout character from the rest of the crew....Nice work...!!
LyleAryn
Should be an interesting group shot once I get them all done. Left is the crew's medic and a deck hand. I think folks will get a kick out of the medic I have planned.
rbowen
Excellent work!!!
LyleAryn
Thanks! See, I'll use gen4, too!
BellaDark
Fantastic design here Lyle, incredible work. Based on her I would play this game. :) I love the glowy green bits too, they really draw you in. :)
LyleAryn
Thank you. I may be doing an open recruiting further down the road, when I'm a little more sure of the system, and my own GMing skills. It's been too long, and I've grown a lot. Also learned a lot of what not to do from other groups, and picked up a few tricks along the way. This character, also, represents crafting in-game. That particular part of the system is just barely a sprout of an idea, but I hope Sophita here will help me expand on it.
bucyjoe
great character
LyleAryn
Thank you very much, bucyjoe! Keep up the cool Terminator work, will ya?

As an Engineer myself, I love this frisky one. As we went into thermal or environmental testing on products I would always say..."Relax, what could possibly go wrong." To which I received the standard groans and spitting of recently swigged coffee. Well done and a lot of fun.
LyleAryn
Thanks. And yeah... There's this funny Youtube video/song called "Trust me, I'm an Engineer" and it sorta inspired the personality of this character a bit.
eekdog
Bet Scotty would like her and be a bit jealous. Great sci fi lyle.👍
LyleAryn
Scotty would buy her drinks, and afterwards declare that she should never board the Enterprise. But still meet her to go camping that weekend.
miwi
Fantastic composition, wonderfully done, super image!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LyleAryn
Thanks, miwi!
Tracesl
cool character, excellent concept and image
LyleAryn
Thanks, Traces! Great to see you here today!
Radar_rad-dude
She looks quite intelligent! Those green lenses do it for her for sure! Wonderful looking character and scene! Nicely imagined and delivered!
LyleAryn
She thanks you for your kind remarks and goes into a detailed explanation of how the lenses work, how the proppack works, and then trails off into various subjects at a speed that is nearly impossible to follow.
All while playing with something that looks suspiciously explosive.
RodS
Well, I hope...
Man - she looks amazing! You really outdid yourself on this, my friend!
And yes.... V4 lives! 👍😆
LyleAryn
She's a pirate! Who needs regs? Thanks for your comments! They brighten my day. Hope you have a good one, and that you're nearing the home stretch on the house.
Richardphotos
her attitude spells out clearly that she is ready to kick some posteriors! super pose
LyleAryn
Yes, she is all for much butt-kicking. You have a good one!

LyleAryn
Thank you. I feel like it's a recruitment poster, and I'm ready to sign up.
I ought to splurge on some more poses for V4. This one came with the suit, along with some others. Good stuff, but I like having options.
Have a great evening.
NobbyC

Cool character! I think I'd stay away from the dynamite though.
LyleAryn
Yeah. Probably a good idea, but then Daisy just ups and gives her a big old hug anyway!
Lord_of_CNF
so, your crew is grown... you have the Captain Emeline, the First Mate Griffen, Daisy the Strong-Arm and Sophita the Engineer... you need a Doctor in your crew, i guess...
LyleAryn
Yep! Medic will be up next! Thanks for having a look.
Deva3D

This is so cool. Great work
LyleAryn
Thank you! It's a great set. I can't hardly wait to do more with it. Going to have to figure out cloud props before too much longer...
JohnnyM
I really like the look of this one! The lighting, is often the most important part of an image and you have done a splendid job here! I would not want any trouble with her and her explosive belt buckle! The green glow is a very nice touch and I like it! Excellent and very well done! :-)
LyleAryn
Thank you very much! That's nice to hear, my dude.
ikke.evc

Thank you! Pretty soon I'm going to have to work on group shots, so I'm a little nervous how they'll all look together.
