Description
One more pirate for the crew. This is Simone, and when land-bound she likes to go tearing through the city on her bike. Not entirely sure of her exact role. She's not the medic, she speaks more as a runaway noble or something, living the pirate life while on the run from the malevolent forces of a tyrannical empire. Of course Captain Emeline was more than happy to have her aboard.
I was tickled pink with how good the textures on the outfit look. I wasn't expecting at much. One of those where the promo shots don't do ti justice. The set is called "Aftermath: The Admiral."
The bike is the very old steambike, converted to iray with SY's conversion tool. And nothing else, because this is one where it was all that was needed. No new metal textures. Nothing.
Then i used a light set from one of SY's HDRI nighttime sets... and was less than thrilled. It took a lot of adjusting. Like, a TON. But. I'm happy with the results. I decided to up the lighting until it was more like a spotlight. I figure she might be under the light from a passing zeppelin - probably chasing down reports of a noisy motorcyclist tearing through the streets.
The figure is "Poison" for G3F, with her human skin. The frog-skins just didn't really go with such an outfit, though I kept the gold markings. Then the new Denki hair. First I applied the white material, and then tinted it red in the surfaces tab. Fun stuff.
The medic I'm having some trouble with, so she's a bit delayed. Which makes me want to do an even more intense job with it to justify the time it's taking. An endless cycle.

this is an awesome character... really really awesome, and fun to look at and ponder what her story is. she looks to me like someone who could have a secret agenda, who then, eventually, rallies everyone behind her to go overthrow someone[s] in power - like she is a natural leader, but on the QT, so to speak...

I figure she doesn't divulge too much. She might come across as being a little shifty. But that's to hide that she's the heir to an empire she wants no part of. But one day, that natural-born leadership just might be called upon. THe captain does like to collect useful people.

This is a fantastic character. I love the color and the geometry of her make up. That also looks like a cool bike in the background. Looks like we’re on the same wavelength on bikes in our renders. My girl wants to meet your girl.

Anytime. She's a little uptight, until you convince her to cut loose.
Now, I'm not saying that my entire crew prefer women. Daisy's a goofball and Penelope prefers just to tease. However, under the dystopian government, women are expected to reproduce. The captain has her own opinions about that, and tends to look out for the other girls. I got this whole hideaway thing planned with all genders, and little kids, and etc. But on the ship? Griffen and the Captain are close. And maybe one of the reasons Simone ran has to to do with an arranged wedding - and she's had her eyes opened since.

I think she looks fantastic - along with everything else in this scene. The detail is amazing - and that hair is so realistic. A magnificent job on this, sir! It's always worth the time you put into these - and I'm looking forward to more.

Thank you! Going to focus on the commission today, but I might post an older pic later just to keep in the habit. I got one I realize I've never uploaded here that I'm even still kind of proud of.
In the next few weeks, I'll be reorganizing my gallery. Install a few new folders, update thumbnails, that sort of thing. Trying to spiff it up, as well as the devianart page. Got to increase the curb appeal, right?
