I am the author Lyle Aryn. Writing is my first love, my one true passion. Every since I was able to string a sentence together, it's all I've wanted to do. Websites where you can find my work and more are below.
I started using Daz Studio October 23rd of 2018, just as something to dink around with. I'd been signed up with the sight for a while, and would occasionally remember to check for freebies. I was surprised at what I had when I finally loaded up the program. I just started playing around with it, figuring it out. I'd say about 92% of what I've learned in the program I've learned just by playing around with it.
In December I went from being a dutiful son looking after his mom, to the full-time, no nights or weekends off, caretaker of my Mom. As someone who struggles with depression, anxiety and a mood disorder or two, this change has had a drastic impact on my own personal care and well-being. I turned to my blossoming love of doing digital art as a way to cope with the mountains of stress on my shoulders. I do miniature painting, too. But when you haven't slept in 4 days, handling a brush can be very messy. Not being able to paint to my own personal satisfaction was making this avenue of relaxation increasingly frustrating.
Daz Studio has an undo button that you just don't get with painting miniatures.
As my skill with the program grows, so does my confidence. I did the cover to my fifth novel, "Because the Night" using Daz Studio, as well as new covers for two previous releases. (Though they haven't been updated just yet.)
I'm looking to always improve my artistic work, no matter what the medium, and Daz Studio is no different.

Perfect choice, Lyle. Yes, for the snake medical symbol but also just more "layers" to the character. Great work. I love the perspective in this one too. :)
LyleAryn
Thanks, Bella. Quick on the draw tonight.
I'm actually deathly afraid of snakes, but have this odd fascination with snake girls. nagas, Medusa, etc. I can't explain it. I played around with the idea of a robot medic for a while but it just didn't seem right. Than I say the Ixcuina set, saw the skin, and it was just so OBVIOUS. And teh longer I look at her, the more I hear of her story.
Have a good night. I'm going to be up. I think I'll stream a bit, since my computer has nothing better to do, lol.

Great work Lyle. I think it looks great.

Well done. Like it!

Of course, doing all these sky pirates and letting the players see some of them may have spoiled the surprise just a bit. Lol. But hey, they know they're going to meet the sky pirates, and only one of them has figured out that they're going to be playing a major part in the campaign. He put two and two together with the amount of time I put into the group.
Though, honestly, I think this crew is going to end up the start of their own book one of these days. I got to finish editing the current book, and I got another one waiting to be written, but yeah. They're just so much fun, you know?

Beautiful portrait!

Thank you very much!
Radar_rad-dude
She looks like she should fit right in with your cast of characters! A splendid and mysterious look to this one! She has many stories to convey. Just wait and see.
LyleAryn
She certainly has stories to tell. But only if she trusts you enough to tell them.
I figure each pirate will represent different story hooks for the players. There's a vast crew, but it won't all be just one linear path. Should test my own skills GMing, but also gives me a chance to present a vast variety of options. There's a lot to do, testing-wise, so having a nice "open" world should accomplish much.
At times, constructing it feels a but like putting together a dating sim, though. (Lol)
Thank you for the kind regards.

Superb image. Very good POV!
LyleAryn
Thank you! So glad you could stop in. I think I'll be doing a pinup with one of your cars here in a bit.
Keep safe, my friend!

Now that's truly awesome! Almost want to say your best yet....
LyleAryn
I like to think the best is yet to come...
There's a vulnerabiluty here that's speaking to me. She's got her hand out, but also holds herself close. Fun to guess which characters the PCs are going to gravitate towards.

Excellent character - I'm not surprised you went for the serpent look - quite subtle here. Great pose and expression.
LyleAryn
Thank you. I wanted serpent, but I also wanted her to look "kind" so I felt this was the best way to go. Once I saw the snake skin for Ixcuilus, it just CLICKED.
OkrimSlava
very well.

She seems really compassionate as she reaches out to us - protecting us for the ravages of CV-19, or whatever scourge is on our doorstep. Awesome work, and I love the angle here.
Indeed - so perfect given the medical staff. I never thought about that, but yeah, it's a perfect fit! 👍👍
LyleAryn
Thanks. She'd be immune, i think, but would work herself to the bone to help people recover.
I'm glad she's proving to be well-liked here. I kinda fell in love. Me and snake-girls... I run a little warm, so I imagine snuggles would be in order. Especially on those cold days.

Excellent

Thank you!

pretty attractive mysterious character, I would even say hypnotic, we gave her a flute tune to tame her, well done
LyleAryn
Well, Simone plays a panflute at times, and Sarah does seem to sway with the music. Daisy plays a concertina, making her step lively in her med bay. And the Captain plays the cello, often in the middle of the night, bringing a tear to her eye.
Thanks for leaving a comment! I love to start my day by commenting on everyone's work, and then reading comments on my own. It's been a real blessing!
