Description

Well, i loaded up the outfit. tried it on Aryll, but it just didn't suit her. Almost went ahead with arting with Aryll, but I liked the outfit so I went a found a model to put it on. It gives me sort of a "bubblegum crisis" vibe, and so I knew just the girl. "Africa for G8F" Everything else flowed from there. This is at 18,610 iterations, and I hit the kill switch. It said it was only 6% done. However, I think that's because of the cube I set up for the atmospherics. I got to figure a more efficient way to handle fog effects, because this was killer. 29 hours to 6%. I think it was still calculating how the light is hitting all the bits, because everything looks nice and clear and not denoiser-blurry. Red spotlight unified the neon orange and purple combo. I understand that most folks find that a "loud" combination. I used "Horrifying skins" on her. Volume two, I think. I wish it had more options/parts instead of loading everything. Would have liked to get rid of the spot on her lips. I went for a wink, but decided that the exposed cyber half would have to remain neutral. The damage there would make it more difficult for her to express anything. Did this mostly on stream, if you want to watch the scene evolve. Old sci-fi environment set, converted to iray. I got no idea why the lights in the corner went all goofy like that, but I dig it. I'll roll with it. Thanks Chasfh, and thanks to those who enjoy the work! You're all lovely. Now, I'll put it under "Visual Story Prompts" and ask what story is here? Tell me who she is!

I really like what the lights in the bottom corner did. It gives it more of a sci-fi look. This is beautiful work.

As for who she is, I think she's just what she looks like; a damaged robot stashed out of the way until somebody gets around to either repairing or scrapping her.

Wow... Just that! Thanks for this, the pic is amazing, and the interference I thought you'd done on purpose until I read your description! Looks like a dodgy monitor image, so fits with the subject just fine (she's damaged, the monitor's damaged, just works really!).

I suspect that the issue with the length of render is most likely due to both the fog effect and loads of transparency on the outfit, but damn, who cares? It looks awesome! Time well spent, I'd say!

Indeed! I kept on eye on it periodically, and after a while I realized that it wasn't really doing anything further, and I thought it looked good. I also had the iterations unlocked and set to insanely high. I'm glad you like it. It's a great outfit. I'm sure you'll see more of it in the future.

i like the expression, as it is actually the thing that evolves the image. to me, it looks like something has gone wrong, and she was maybe trying to get to this panel to fix something only to find it too damaged. she is taking a breath, gathering thoughts, and seeking a new solution so that she can escape whatever bad thing that happened and set off the chain of events. is she only trying to save herself, or is she taking charge and trying to save others that are hiding somewhere else? i've no idea... but i like that, the way i can just keep creating different scenarios for her...

Very excellent. I love to see other people's interpretations of a scene. When i was in school we did this thing where we got an image and a single line of text and we had to write a short story out of it. One of my favorite exercises. I think something like that ought to exist for adults. We get coloring books, why not visual writing prompts done just for fun? Coloring with text, as it were.

Thanks for commenting, and I'm glad she tickled your fancy.

Really outstanding work here, sir! It seems that she's had an encounter with something rather nasty, and she's now trying to restore or reset things back to normal.... whatever 'normal' is...

The red atmosphere over everything really gives it a sense of intensity - I can almost hear alarms going off..

Thanks! Hmm. I love it when a render can spark so many ideas. Hope you're having a decent afternoon. We finally got some rain. One heck of a thundershower last night, and more rain today. MUCH needed, with the entire west coast still fighting wildfires. Rain di the trick for knocking all the smoke out of the air, too.

I'll be checking out your video here in a bit. Glad you stopped in!

It does remind me of a BubbleGum Crisis episode, but I haven't watched those since the 1990s so my memory is a bit hazy. Love the atmosphere here. Great image.
