I painted the ceiling joists also silver. they wanted a metallic look

That looks great, Richard! I like the contrast with the silver joists.
We've been going through a ton of old photos and stuff as well. We keep finding rolls of film that haven't even been processed yet. Fortunately there's a place in Overland Park (just across the state line in Kansas) that still develops film. I just have them do the film, then I scan the negatives.

That looks sharp. it is a great industrial look. I knew a kid way back in high school days that painted his room black. It was an awesome place to hang out. Especially since that was the Black Light generation (wink).
