I am the author Lyle Aryn. Writing is my first love, my one true passion. Every since I was able to string a sentence together, it's all I've wanted to do. Websites where you can find my work and more are below.
I started using Daz Studio October 23rd of 2018, just as something to dink around with. I'd been signed up with the sight for a while, and would occasionally remember to check for freebies. I was surprised at what I had when I finally loaded up the program. I just started playing around with it, figuring it out. I'd say about 92% of what I've learned in the program I've learned just by playing around with it.
In December I went from being a dutiful son looking after his mom, to the full-time, no nights or weekends off, caretaker of my Mom. As someone who struggles with depression, anxiety and a mood disorder or two, this change has had a drastic impact on my own personal care and well-being. I turned to my blossoming love of doing digital art as a way to cope with the mountains of stress on my shoulders. I do miniature painting, too. But when you haven't slept in 4 days, handling a brush can be very messy. Not being able to paint to my own personal satisfaction was making this avenue of relaxation increasingly frustrating.
Daz Studio has an undo button that you just don't get with painting miniatures.
As my skill with the program grows, so does my confidence. I did the cover to my fifth novel, "Because the Night" using Daz Studio, as well as new covers for two previous releases. (Though they haven't been updated just yet.)
I'm looking to always improve my artistic work, no matter what the medium, and Daz Studio is no different.

Skin on her looks great. Nicely done. Super detailed description.

Yeah, and a rant too. Thanks!

Sounds like you're having one of my days...:) I'm forever forgetting to save along the way. She is lovely. Also I've had to buy flat boots separately so a stiletto doesn't get stuck in the wood board floor. I know it's fantasy but save a girl's ankle every now and then. Great test image!
LyleAryn
I know, right? And you've got to buy multiple, because you can't have them all wearing the same boots. Almost feels like wasted money to buy an outfit and not use the shoes.
Thanks for your comment!

Looks good. You're right it's fantasy. There where very few woman pirates, they wore men clothing and hoped never to be found out.
LyleAryn
I'll never dis someone if they like heels in their fantasy world, but in mine? Sensible shoes win the day.
I think she's more of a swordswoman-for-hire. Don't know - just wanted to try the outfit!
Thanks for the feedback!

Worked out all right for a speed render!

Nicely done. She definitely looks like she knows what she's doing with that sword!
LyleAryn
I've been blessed to find a few pose packs to work from that are more reasonable than the uber-unbalanced super-model-with-a-foam-sword that was typical when I first started.
Getting the feet to cooperate in tall heels... That's the challenge.
And I sigh for not mirroring the pose so I couod put the sword into the proper hand...
Thanks for stopping in!
A_Sunbeam
Splendid character and pose - and I agree with you about the boots - stiletto heels are most unsuitable for adventurers and fighters.
LyleAryn
I get that fantasy art tends towards sexiness - which is annoying when you're trying to find reasonable armor, or clothes that would at least protect from the elements.
Honestly? I've purchased whole outfits with tops/pants I didn't care for because they came with heel-less boots. And I've passed on amazing sets that are beautiful because of super high heels.
Thanks for the feedback. Hopefully this tips people over into purchasing Khemsit so we see more of her. Diversity ftw!

Great looking Scene.
LyleAryn
Thanks. Told ya I had a render of the same outfit! Lol.

She is lovely, and so is the image. Agree with you on the sword, bit of a serious error there. Also agree on the boots; in fact, when I made my Fantasy set years ago, I put sandals in the set, not heels. However, heels do seem to sell, which I suspect is why vendors do them!
LyleAryn
See, I'm not sold on that. Because you'll see flat boots sold alone, but rarely heels sold alone.
Imagine if they just gave you two versions of the shoe. With or without. I'd be much more likely to buy because I don't want heels, and the people that are just doing supermodel renders are kept happy too.
I know, more work. But how much more, really? Sure, some shoes are shaped around the spike, but I see several that I think could be adapted fairly easily
But what do I know?

Excellent work!

Thank you.

nice work , excellent wood texture

Thanks. I love this dock. I need to use it more often!

Wow - she does have gorgeous skin, and you really brought it out in this lovely scene!
Yeah, I've run into the boot thing a few times (I should talk, right? The king of showing Girls kicking butt while wearing heels...). They didn't have those special training camps back then for learning how to fight in heels... 😆
Yeah, sleep does help sometimes.... And you have no idea... I probably have at least 10 times the "closet renders" moldering away on a drive somewhere than what's in my gallery here... LOL
LyleAryn
Lol. Yep. Most of my year one stuff will never see the light of day. Unless I go in for a redo. Which I might on a couple.
One I'm working right now. I ran the render, but I don't "love" the result. Going to fiddle with it, because it's "almost." Sure, i could just post and folks will undoubtably like what I've done, but for this one, I have to love it.
I also got another Khemsit render waiting. I meant to run it today while I was editing, but I didn't love the render from last night and I ended up slammed with phone calls. Which is really sweet, because it was people checking in on me. Which is a new experience I'm still not used to.
The TNA girls kick butt no matter the gear. I've got use for heels in more contemporary stuff, but don't have many options there. No real use for it in fantasy stuff, and it seems 9/10 sets AT THE LEAST come with heels. And some just don't work without the shoes, either due to a distinct style or coloration. sigh

Looks excellent to me! :-) You must remember...your test renders are other persons fully finished renders! It all has to do with the inherent degree of individual perfection and skills, that each of us have. I for one struggle to make even the most mundane details, at least appear real, or at very least, abide by the laws of preexisting physics. You are an excellent artist, with a no more demanding customer than yourself! I am here to cheer for you, every step of the way! Have a great weekend! Stay safe! :-)
LyleAryn
Aww. Thanks, pal. That's really kind. I got another with Khemsit just about ready to go. Maybe I'll go back and polish this one - just cause I can.
daggerwilldo
I have to say knife fighting in heels and skimpy outfits is not something I would advise. I looks damned hot but lets face it. Your only real chance is to charm your adversary with your hotness.
LyleAryn
Disarm them with a smile and stick a blade through their heart!

Beautiful tough character, fantastic image, she looks really gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LyleAryn
Thanks! Well worth the price. I'm glad she so easily became a story character so I'll have lots of excuses to render her in the future!
Richardphotos
she is dynamite and superb beauty
LyleAryn
Thank you for having a look!

such a cute fact. hair?

Ok. Ummm... I'll make myself a note to check and send you a PM. I'd check now, but DAZ is busy rendering and doesn't let you open up the program more than once anymore. :( I know it defaults to standing up more, but had a nifty morph to reshape it as seen here.
