Description
Last night, concerned for a friend, I couldn't sleep. So I endeavored to do just one more Twitch stream. With zero plan. So I defaulted to my normal no-plan and decided I'd do a render of a character I hadn't rendered before. I decided upon Apollonia. And really, I'm going to have to do another with her real soon (I keep saying that) because I like her features. She looks very kind.
Then I noticed I had the catgirl mega pack that I've never done anything with, so I thought, why not? At first she was a cheetah. And then I was sorta trying to do Cheetarah. And then I realized that doing fan art would bring out the OCD so switched over to the tiger skin and lost the leotard I had her in.
Which meant I needed clothes. And then I decided, hey? Why not do another render with the Cyber Girl set? It was a whim, but as I started putting pieces in place, it all came together. Only, I coated really use those sweet gloves, and the skirt didn't make sense with the tail. However - I think the goggles suit her very well, don't you? First time rendering those!
I wish I had planned a bit better, lol. Honestly, I know it's not the best work I've done - but I was on vigil and just trying to distract myself.
Once I had the Tiger thing locked in, I decided I wanted hair. And scrolling through, the idea of a Tiger girl with an Afro just made me giggle on the inside. Once loaded - yep! That was the one! (I don't care for the hair set that came with the catgirl pack. But I might try to do something with it later, anyway. I should at least render it fully once before I banish it to the "never again!" pile. Actually, I don't care for the arm/leg pieces, either. They're meant to be costume pieces, it think, and I totally didn't notice the straps on the arm until after I finished rendering. Grr!)
Then there was posing, and I just HAD to get that chaingun involved. I originally thought to place it resting on the shoulder, one hand on hip. Perhaps the chest thrust out a bit. Only once I found a similar pose, a new direction took me. Apparently I got a thing for girls concealing weaponry. Or at least trying to!
At that point, I was just down to environment and lighting. I quickly decided on the Outpost set. And tried to get more of an "Alien Desert" vibe with the sun-sky setting. Since this was just a silly piece, I wanted a fairly fast render. I got the lighting how I wanted it. Set up my DOF. Almost hit render... then went back and added Retro-Futuristic Motorcycle in the background. That "One More Thing," you know?
Then today, I loaded up in GIMP. Did the auto-color enhance which changed nothing. I love it when that happens, because it means I set up my lighting well. (At least I think it means that.) Sharpened just a little bit using Beautify. Was ready to upload, but again. Just one more thing. Let's try another filter and see if I like it... Beautify has LOMO options (whatever that means) and one of them is HDR. And I've got to say - I like it better this way than my vanilla render! Which don't happen often. I put so much work into getting everything right inside Daz Studio that I don't like to mess with it much afterwards.
So. Cyber Tiger. Hope you enjoy. I've got one more fruit of yesterday's labor to share, later today. Going to do another grid so I can lay out the story of how it all came together. Right now, gotta run to the store for food again. I'm still not feeling well, but we gotta eat. I'll probably end up working on this idea I had when I woke up later, though I doubt I'll be streaming it. My voice is a bit weak today - gee I wonder why! (No really, I was streaming almost all day yesterday.)

It's been a constant grind for the last two years now. I feel weary down to the bone.
At least doing silly stuff in Daz is better than slowly going insane lying awake wondering about things beyond my control.

Concealing weaponry.... Yeah..... I know a few Girls that have that down to an art form. Not sure how they conceal some of those hand-cannons in the outfits they wear (they won't tell me), but maybe they could pass along some hints to her! 😁

Very creative and very nicely executed. The backstory is quite interesting. It sounds like evolution in the moment. Your mind flowing from one point to the next and just letting that cycle iterate over and over. I would be curious to know how many render iterations it took you to get through this final point?

Well, start to finish was on stream. As for number of iterations... I don't know. It rendered fairly quick, and was done after a few hours, so I imagine not a whole huge amount.
