I am the author Lyle Aryn. Writing is my first love, my one true passion. Every since I was able to string a sentence together, it's all I've wanted to do. Websites where you can find my work and more are below.
I started using Daz Studio October 23rd of 2018, just as something to dink around with. I'd been signed up with the sight for a while, and would occasionally remember to check for freebies. I was surprised at what I had when I finally loaded up the program. I just started playing around with it, figuring it out. I'd say about 92% of what I've learned in the program I've learned just by playing around with it.
In December I went from being a dutiful son looking after his mom, to the full-time, no nights or weekends off, caretaker of my Mom. As someone who struggles with depression, anxiety and a mood disorder or two, this change has had a drastic impact on my own personal care and well-being. I turned to my blossoming love of doing digital art as a way to cope with the mountains of stress on my shoulders. I do miniature painting, too. But when you haven't slept in 4 days, handling a brush can be very messy. Not being able to paint to my own personal satisfaction was making this avenue of relaxation increasingly frustrating.
Daz Studio has an undo button that you just don't get with painting miniatures.
As my skill with the program grows, so does my confidence. I did the cover to my fifth novel, "Because the Night" using Daz Studio, as well as new covers for two previous releases. (Though they haven't been updated just yet.)
I'm looking to always improve my artistic work, no matter what the medium, and Daz Studio is no different.

Nicely done! (Now go get some rest!)
LyleAryn
Thanks. I probably should. I got to drive in 11 hours and I've been awake since Friday or Thursday. They tend to blend together after a while.

Works well for me! I like the different colors of the wall which add to her separation.
LyleAryn
Thanks! I'm kinda proud of the idea.

cool, creative - excellent
LyleAryn
Thank you!

I say more power to your Gimping elbow my friend! Looks great, says what it needs to. The colour of her shirt matching the colour of the "real" bricks creates connection, while her being framed in the white faded area screams of separation; kind of "there but not there"...
LyleAryn
Thank you. It's a powerful feeling, I only hope I can share. That's what got me started, really. Trying to convey difficult emotions. Trying to escape the grey.
OkrimSlava
well done.
LyleAryn
Thanks!
Kordouane
A work full of sharpness and an image full of charm
LyleAryn
Thank you, Kord! I hope you are doing better. Love all the freebie poses! Actually planning a piece around one. Should be up in the next day or two.
dakotajaroo
the character emerges well from the background, I even thought it was a portal to another world, beautiful composition
LyleAryn
Thank you. Hopefully the book becomes a portal into her world. :)
Nightwind
Very emotional scene. You've done an excellent job of conveying her sadness and confusion.
LyleAryn
Thank you. With her, I'm moving away from using preset expressions. I did the last two "by hand." And they're my best with her.
brain1969
great render my friend ... hope you have also a great day
LyleAryn
Thank you, brain. You're appreciated.

LyleAryn

terrific idea on this, looks like she's coming through the brick wall.
LyleAryn
I rather like it, myself.

Thank you very much, Lord!
Radar_rad-dude
You did ok! A sweet and vulnerable little girl has been displayed here to best effect! Nicely accomplished.
LyleAryn
Thank you. I think I'm going to do a close-up of her expression because I really like it.

Totally beautiful work my friend. This one has a lot of emotion packed into it. It feels to me like it has a lot of you in it. Well done and very well expressed.
LyleAryn
Thanks. Yeah... Lenny has a lot of me in her. Wanted some distance, so I originally created her to express things I was feeling. Her first render being an early version of "Lenny Cuts."
JohnnyM
There is a little sadness in this render, that is so full of emotion! It looks perfectly natural, as sadness and joy are both part of the human condition. You have done a great job, in portraying the mood in this render. Excellent and very well done! :-)
LyleAryn
Thank you. I'm glad that's coming through. Honestly, it's how I've been feeling for the past couple weeks. And, as it so happens, it works well as an illustration for the book, too. Looking on the bright side, if I didn't feel this way I couldn't have made this.
Have a great evening, kind sir.

Nicely done.
LyleAryn
Thank you! That makes me glad that you think so.

Really well done with a lot of emotional impact. I think we've all felt a bit 'greyed out' the last few months. Fortunately we have our art and each other to help us power through the grey periods.
LyleAryn
Thank you. I start each day looking at art. And reading comments. So much healthier than other social media I could be browsing. You have a good one!
Richardphotos
very dramatic mood and composition
LyleAryn
Thank you! I'm really happy with how I've been doing her expressions lately. Glad you stopped in! Take care, my friend.
