I am the author Lyle Aryn. Writing is my first love, my one true passion. Every since I was able to string a sentence together, it's all I've wanted to do. Websites where you can find my work and more are below.
I started using Daz Studio October 23rd of 2018, just as something to dink around with. I'd been signed up with the sight for a while, and would occasionally remember to check for freebies. I was surprised at what I had when I finally loaded up the program. I just started playing around with it, figuring it out. I'd say about 92% of what I've learned in the program I've learned just by playing around with it.
In December I went from being a dutiful son looking after his mom, to the full-time, no nights or weekends off, caretaker of my Mom. As someone who struggles with depression, anxiety and a mood disorder or two, this change has had a drastic impact on my own personal care and well-being. I turned to my blossoming love of doing digital art as a way to cope with the mountains of stress on my shoulders. I do miniature painting, too. But when you haven't slept in 4 days, handling a brush can be very messy. Not being able to paint to my own personal satisfaction was making this avenue of relaxation increasingly frustrating.
Daz Studio has an undo button that you just don't get with painting miniatures.
As my skill with the program grows, so does my confidence. I did the cover to my fifth novel, "Because the Night" using Daz Studio, as well as new covers for two previous releases. (Though they haven't been updated just yet.)
I'm looking to always improve my artistic work, no matter what the medium, and Daz Studio is no different.

Nicely done!
I don't know of any ear posing controls. Have you tried a d-former?
LyleAryn
Yes, and it moved the entire side of the face, even if all I've got selected it the tip of the ear. Something they've GOT to add to Genesis 9. I love elf girls. Elf ears are starting to become like this personal millstone tied around my neck.
Tracesl
cool character - excellent
LyleAryn
Thanks!
Nightwind
Nice scifi! I've got some ear morphs somewhere, I think for scifi character that you can set to no ears but can't remember who did them off the top of my head. I'll check through my runtime and see if I can turn up the info. In the meantime if you haven't checked out morphs on sharecg you might want to; lots of that sort of thing there.
LyleAryn
No-ears isn't so hard, it's bending the ear back. Like if I were to press the characters head against a wall, it wouldn't stick through the wall, and it would collapse like a telescope, It would bend back or forward.
gaius
Nice scifi scene...you can hide the ears at your liking.
LyleAryn
Thanks.
That's what I did. Hid them. But she's got long ears, and they would BEND back if they were tucked beneath a hood. i pulled the hood out on the sides to simulate this, but for other renders? It would be nice to bend the ears back.
OkrimSlava
Awesome Scene.
LyleAryn
Thank you very much!
chasfh
Nice work, she looks great! Thanks for the feedback, a couple of useful points that'll make the final release a whole lot better!
Other than the ears, I'm glad to hear you had no problems fitting. I'll see if I can add a couple of cheeky morphs to pull that hood around for such special occasions!
LyleAryn
Thanks for letting me play with the set, chasfh. Truly a pleasure.
brain1969

You did a wonderful job my friend.I am really liking this scene , character, and suit. There is something about the suit color and cool decals that make it pop. You made her Rock It In Space !!!
LyleAryn
Thanks! Next is Pixel's turn. Should have that render up later today.
wolandepiphanius
Nicely done. Now I can't wait for that suit to become available.
LyleAryn
Going to be well worth the wait, for sure!
Madbat
Ear controls! Man I long for those! The closest thing I have is from one of Dariofish's cat people sets, but that also incorporates teeth into an ears flat snarl. I haven't seen anything else.
LyleAryn
It's weird, isn't it? We're years and years into having digital elf-girls and aliens and goblins and etc to play with, and we're stuck with ears that we can't move. We can't waggle. We can barely reshape. Somebody would make bank, is all I'm saying. Thank you for stopping by. I know. I come with a lot fo reading...
miwi
Fantastic scene, excellent done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LyleAryn
Thank you. I like how she's totally the type that would strike a pose, too. Just in case of space babes. One of my favorite RPG characters that I barely got to play.

Nicely done.

Thank you!

I'd say she definitely needs to be taken seriously! You really did a fantastic job on this - love to see where this goes..
LyleAryn
Thanks! Probably to her princess giving her ample rewards for resisting all that booty.

Great character and render!!!
LyleAryn
Thank you. I appreciate it.
Radar_rad-dude
Well, how can she hear anything if her ears aren't poking out the side of the helmet anyway!? LOL. Just kidding. As for ear morphs, I thought all Daz characters had them. At least up to M4 V4 I believe. I've never gone beyond them. She does make a fine looking space cadet and it looks like she greatly appreciates her new 'equipment!'
LyleAryn
It's not so much the morphs, as the lack of posability. Got plenty of morphs to make make elf ears, vampire ears, goblin ears, alien no-ears, etc. But if I want to pose the ear? Nothing. Imagine having ears that stick out 6-8 inches and then flattening them against a window. See what I mean?
Anyway. Thank for for stopping by!
linwhite
You really plan and then skillfully execute your images. Thatβs admirable. I think the almost geometric background adds a lot to the power of the scene.
LyleAryn
Thank you. Best to keep it fairly simple when we want to show off such an excellent outfit, right? Glad to here from ya!
Artienne
Fantastic pose and lovely outfit!
LyleAryn
Thanks! Props to Chasfh! Look for it when it releases soon, okay?
