I am the author Lyle Aryn. Writing is my first love, my one true passion. Every since I was able to string a sentence together, it's all I've wanted to do. Websites where you can find my work and more are below.
I started using Daz Studio October 23rd of 2018, just as something to dink around with. I'd been signed up with the sight for a while, and would occasionally remember to check for freebies. I was surprised at what I had when I finally loaded up the program. I just started playing around with it, figuring it out. I'd say about 92% of what I've learned in the program I've learned just by playing around with it.
In December I went from being a dutiful son looking after his mom, to the full-time, no nights or weekends off, caretaker of my Mom. As someone who struggles with depression, anxiety and a mood disorder or two, this change has had a drastic impact on my own personal care and well-being. I turned to my blossoming love of doing digital art as a way to cope with the mountains of stress on my shoulders. I do miniature painting, too. But when you haven't slept in 4 days, handling a brush can be very messy. Not being able to paint to my own personal satisfaction was making this avenue of relaxation increasingly frustrating.
Daz Studio has an undo button that you just don't get with painting miniatures.
As my skill with the program grows, so does my confidence. I did the cover to my fifth novel, "Because the Night" using Daz Studio, as well as new covers for two previous releases. (Though they haven't been updated just yet.)
I'm looking to always improve my artistic work, no matter what the medium, and Daz Studio is no different.

cool character and scene
LyleAryn
Thank you, my friend.
Nightwind
This is an odd character, but good to see her out and about.
LyleAryn
Yes! I think this story is going to be so much fun. Thank you for the kind words.
Saby55
An Amazing Image 👍🙋♂️
LyleAryn
Thank you very much, Saby! Love the new render.
daggerwilldo
I like your writing a lot. A very intriguing render also. You are really very multi-talented. Way to go my friend.
LyleAryn
Thank you. I'm a writer before anything else. Its strange how book ideas come. I'm not ready to write the nexr volume in my fantasy epic, and I just finished the first in the Lenny and Lola series, so I had no real idea what I would be doing for National Novel Writing Month. There's a few things rattling around my brain, but nothing solid. Then Monday morning I went for my walk and the idea of a velvet mannequin that was alive came to mind. And the more I work with her the more I see the shape of the story.
It's outside my norm, but I think I'm going to keep writing it. Already got a couple pages, so I'm good to get started on Sunday!

I was totally absorbed by your story - it's so cool. The render is fun too - I like her new pet, from a distance ;-)
LyleAryn
Oh, Mr. Spider is very friendly. With the Seamistress' last breath, she enchanted a regular little spider to look after Velvet, only he was trapped in a jar by the murderous adventurers and it took him quite some time to make it to the cabin.

This is fantastic work.
LyleAryn
Thank you! I'm already quite fond of her. Even if getting her lit nicely is a bit of a challenge!
hashdoc
amazing hair! Does she know about the spider on top? :)
LyleAryn
Yes. That's Mr. Spider. I see him as a bit like Jiminy Cricket. Except he'd probably eat Jiminy Cricket.
Thanks for the feedback!
A_Sunbeam
A charming character - and looks better in the daylight. Great story too - see where it takes you!
LyleAryn
Thanks! Hopefully at least 50k words for the novel writing challenge, lol.
OkrimSlava
very well.
LyleAryn
Thank you!
Kordouane
Absolutely atypical image, bravo
LyleAryn
Thank you, Kord. Have a lovely day.
chasfh
Lovely work. She won't have any trouble threading that one!
LyleAryn
Lol, no! I'm thinking its an enchanted needle, called an "Ever-threaded" needle. It changes size, and once you put a bit of thread in it it never runs out.
eekdog
too creepy keeping a black widow in her hair. stop what's that sound, everybody look what's going down. a needle in a haystack one could find..nice fantasy Lyle
LyleAryn
Thank you! And Mr. Spider won't bite. Ubless you threaten Velvet, of course. In which case, you might find that being an enchanted spider has increased his potency a bit...
JeffersonAF
Beautiful render.
LyleAryn
Thank you very much! Glad to see you here.

LyleAryn
Thank you Mike.
RodS
Aw, she found a spidey-friend! Hmmmm.... Maybe not knitting, but he's probably pretty decent at weaving...
Fun and wonderfully done scene, my friend!
LyleAryn
Thank you! I think they'll be having all sorts of adventures!
Richardphotos
outstanding and creative writing. I hope her circuits does not short circuit
LyleAryn
Thanks! She's enchanted, so no worries!
ikke.evc
Nicely done, like the story, but once again i'm reading it out of sequence! O well, i'm starting to getting used to that.
LyleAryn
Lol, I hear ya! The story is still developing too. There will be more as I journey through this year's NaNoWriMo.
anitalee
Excellent
LyleAryn
Thank you very kindly, Anita!
shadownet
Well done!
LyleAryn
Thank you kindly!
dakotajaroo
a beautiful composition, the sight of this spider makes me shiver
LyleAryn
Awww... Though I kijda love it. Apparently the secret to make scary thing is to just add a spider to it.
Radar_rad-dude
Great read and wonderful image! The babe looks great in the outdoors! Love that stream next to her! A totally fantastic creation!
LyleAryn
Thank you! I'm thinking of polishing this one for the eventual cover. Add some more grass tufts at her feet.
jmattatall
creepy
LyleAryn
Mhmm! Hopefully in a delightful way.
