I am the author Lyle Aryn. Writing is my first love, my one true passion. Every since I was able to string a sentence together, it's all I've wanted to do. Websites where you can find my work and more are below.
I started using Daz Studio October 23rd of 2018, just as something to dink around with. I'd been signed up with the sight for a while, and would occasionally remember to check for freebies. I was surprised at what I had when I finally loaded up the program. I just started playing around with it, figuring it out. I'd say about 92% of what I've learned in the program I've learned just by playing around with it.
In December I went from being a dutiful son looking after his mom, to the full-time, no nights or weekends off, caretaker of my Mom. As someone who struggles with depression, anxiety and a mood disorder or two, this change has had a drastic impact on my own personal care and well-being. I turned to my blossoming love of doing digital art as a way to cope with the mountains of stress on my shoulders. I do miniature painting, too. But when you haven't slept in 4 days, handling a brush can be very messy. Not being able to paint to my own personal satisfaction was making this avenue of relaxation increasingly frustrating.
Daz Studio has an undo button that you just don't get with painting miniatures.
As my skill with the program grows, so does my confidence. I did the cover to my fifth novel, "Because the Night" using Daz Studio, as well as new covers for two previous releases. (Though they haven't been updated just yet.)
I'm looking to always improve my artistic work, no matter what the medium, and Daz Studio is no different.

I love this. Was looking at the characters and then my mind just sort of went, "Wait, there's a turtle!" Love it!

Sometimes it's fun going back to earlier work, knowing what you know now. Well done!

I was surprised it wasn't a bigger mess than it was. I've got another one that I sorta liked that I want to revisit. Maybe later today! Thank you.

great scene, I love the turtle

TURTLE POWER!!! (Honestly though, my online handle has been The Shredder since I was 8, so I might be biased towards turtles.)

Looking great here, good sir! I do love the addition of the turtle... Great job on the lighting as well.

Subject matter is certainly Frazetta, although not quite as dark and gritty.
Very nice!
LyleAryn
Thanks. Maybe I'll explore it further. The style, I mean.

This is so nicely done. Isn't it fun to go back and play with older renders and redo them with newer assets and technique? To me it is a lot of fun and, while I will flag it as a redo, it is doubtful to many folks will say "Hey i remember when you did almost the exact thing back in 1864.

Lol. For sure. Or when you do your version of something more famous. I've done on true bit of fan-fiction, and my gender-bent Turok, and nobody has called me out on any of it.
