Description
The cousins, Elenoir and Nevil have unpacked, changed clothes and invited Hailey to join them in the parlor. They are rather distant cousins as Elenoir relates. Elenoir is talking, as usual.
“Hailey dear, how kind of you taking a break from your library work to join us for a little chat. It’s a chance for you to learn something more about the family. How tragic losing your parents when so young. And I dare say Aunt Jane didn’t tell you all that much seeing that she didn’t quite approve of us.
"You come from the boring side of the family. Bankers, country squires, and I think a bishop is in there somewhere. Nevil and I come from the interesting side. You know, the army, regiments, the colonies, India even. They say one or two of us may have been hanged. But whatever they did they made piles of money, so here we are. Oh Nevil, shut up, I don’t need you barging in.”

Of course Elenoir is used to having her way all the time I think! Wonderful scene. Very well posed and a fine addition to the story!

Thanks. This is image 21 of a graphic novel that began a bit back in my gallery. No clue where Elenoir's talk came from. It just emerged in my head and I took dictation. I guess that is how fiction sometimes works.
