terrific scallywag...I love his right eye (either he lost it or it's permanently pointing upwards)---it suggests some rogue pirate who got into one too many brawls. Also love his outfit---great ornamented collar, a great hat (looks like an islamic design), that belted thing around his neck (for weapons maybe?), and his rogue-player's pose. He's got the look: the rogue dude who drives everyone nuts but is somehow lovable, at least once in a while. He's got a face scar too; and you have him on a tropical beach, which is where one pictures him hanging out when he's not getting into trouble. (A composition thing: He's leaning back in the same direction as the tree---very nice touch). You have an intuitive knack for capturing complex character in a pose and setting. You nailed this guy, pat.

Awesome texture work and I love that eye. Still looks better than some of the people I see on my commute to work.
