C C told me that the Marines were given glass goggles like what a welder would wear. He said that explosion of an atomic bomb overhead could be seen through the glass goggles

Lovely flowers. Who knows what soldiers have endured through careless scientific directives.

beautiful blooms — wonder why there have been no "war crimes" investigations....

cool white blooms, looks like snowballs.

These are pretty flowers. Nice job of capturing all that white.

(didn't those military leaders realize that 'goggles' would do little against all that radiation? what a way to treat their soldiers...) Big bold light on these beautiful flowers, an array of "popped flowers" (like popped corn)...very bright and uplifting.

We have these beautiful plants in the garden, but since it rained a lot this summer, they wither very quickly. Beautiful Foto!!!!!!!!!!

A beautiful photo, Richard!
Those goggles were absolutely ZERO protection from the gamma rays from a nuclear explosion. Those Marines were little more than test subjects. That is unforgiveable.

Beautiful pic and I agree with RodS. A nuke overhead is probably a long term killer of those Marines. Killed by your own country. Yep it is unforgivable and I bet no Brass got busted down for this atrocity. They should have been sent to prison for crimes against humanity. BTW WTF is 'Friendly Fire"?
