Superb. When I was 14, my mom threw to the bin almost 1 cubic meter of my charcoals and pencil on paper works without remorse. I said it's OK, so I made sure she will have more stuff to get busy with. At 6 years old I was having a discussion with my uncle - he was a painter - about how the breast should go up with the raised hand, he was explaing on my charcoal and helped me understand the physics behind. My mom just went a very pale white, even she was a blonde, it was obvious the white. Within seconds, her sister - my most beloved awesom auntie - had trouble with my mom, of course about my croquis..

Very nice, and probably inspired by the old photo you recently published here.

another of your intense pencil drawings, this time of what looks like a cafe or at least a room where people gather. You really get into the rhythms of the chairs, because you have those verticals (from the chairs) cutting across the image like drum strokes or musical accents. And your contrast between darks and whites (the sides of the chairs vs the seats ,etc) are another rhythm. And you have, again, those heavy strokes, most of them aligned to give their own rhythm and intensity to the drawing. And a man in the backround with some bottles, etc...(it reminds me of some of the late 19th C french portraits, with a lone patron in a bar or cafe...) You leave the rest as space (with smudges etc.), which is equally intense. It says "72"---I assume that's when you drew this? You have a very intense eye! I love these heavy pencil pieces, they intensify the 'moment' with great vitality.
