Description
(Because it snowed… again!)
The Kirin takes a break from the Enchanted Forest to survey the rolling plains.
==AMY’S NOTES==
I’m not that good at rendering over a background image, as I often get hung up on various technical issues, but I wanted to give RAGraphicDesign’s winter backgrounds a try, and the Enchanted Forest Kirin graciously volunteered to strike a pose.
Rendered in February 2022 using Firefly in Poser Pro 11 for Mac at 2048 × 1152 pixels. View full size on my blog.

i love the Kirin Pallet he's hanging out in!!

I'm pretty sure that's why he volunteered to enter the scene! (And I used the backdrop image on an IBL, to further enhance the palette, at his request.)

Gorgeous image!!! Perfect together , the Kirin and the environment.

Thank you! That particular background is definitely in shades of winter Kirin! I also used the background image on an IBL, to throw even more of that palette around the scene :-)

Great ! The white-lilac of the animal blends in wonderfully with the background...:)

Thank you for the comment! This one of your backgrounds was just the right color scheme for the Kirin's lighter fur!

Enchanting image!! Blends in perfectly with the background!
I used to use background images all the time in Daz, however once I started using structures and then switched to Poser I lost the habit. Sometimes I still sneak a background in there but I am very nitpicky too so I avoid it if I can. But in this case I think it was the perfect choice.

Thank you, RubyTuesday! I've seen some beautiful art made with some beautiful background images, and it's something I'd like to get better at, both for fantasy scenes and for portraits. For a long time I tried using some mountain vista background images made in apps like Vue, but I found I always prefer how TerraDome2 looks with the kind of scenes I do. (But I remain curious about what I could do in Vue if I had it!)

We got snow too!
This image is perfectly done! Everything just works!

Though it got off to a late start, this has been a fairly snowy winter, at least in Colorado! Thank you for the comment. Part of the reason it works is that the background image had colors that complement the Kirin's light coat, but the other part is that I used the background image on an IBL light, so the colors where literally everywhere :-)

5 star use, that's the type of work drew me into this hobby ... top shelf =)

Thank you so much for the really nice comment, SydneyKeys! Fortunately the Enchanted Forest Kirin made this easy :-)

The background looks perfect to me with the Kirin in the foreground. Background images in renders can be hit or miss for me.
