Description
Ever the helpful neighbor, Bulldow stops by to shovel the gnomes out after yet another winter storm.
==AMY’S NOTES==
I’ve wanted to use this cute gnome house in a scene for a long time, but I wanted the whole house to show. I tried setting up a scene where Aina and Hein are standing outside, bickering about who was supposed to shovel the steps, but once I scaled the house so that they could plausibly fit through the front door and framed the scene to show the whole house, Aina and Hein were way too tiny for their expressions to be visible. Then Bulldow came along and offered to shovel the steps, so I sent Hein and Aina back inside.
Rendered in February 2022 using Firefly in Poser Pro 11 for Mac at 2048 × 1152 pixels. Art effects applied in Painnt. View full size on my blog.

It's so good to see you having fun in Poser again!! Great scene again hon :)
perpetualrevision
Thank you! I am having fun with Poser again. I don't know why it took me so long to get back into it, but I'm glad I did. And I'm really trying to resist the urge to make things difficult for myself by trying to customize this or that. It's a lot more fun and satisfying if I can just figure out how to make renders with what I've already got, as it already is! At least for now. I'm sure the urge to customize will overpower me eventually :-)

He does not look happy with the snow. Super cool setting, great work
perpetualrevision
He probably didn't mind shoveling the gnomes out the first 33 times this winter. But number 34 is about to do him in!! Thanks for the comment :-)

Delightful fantasy scene, I just love using these adorkable creatures in light-hearted images like this!!! He reminds me of Xerr!
perpetualrevision
I love doing that too! I've never really imagined making scenes with "serious" monsters or whatever, so when I see a creature that can potentially be charming, like Bulldown (and Xerr) I give it a try! The world needs more charming creatures :-) Thanks for the comment!
Flint_Hawk
That's nice of Bulldow to shovel the snow! You found a great way to show off this Gnome’s House!
I'm enjoying your work!
perpetualrevision
Thank you, Flint_Hawk! I'm having fun and trying not to get bogged down with scenes that prove difficult for one reason or another (though of course that still happens). I kinda feel like I want to try out everything in my runtime once, and then once I've got a feel for things, I can start to mix and match for more complex scenes. Only problem is: even if I never bought another item, I think it might take me a decade or two to get to that point :-)
CoolDimension
Great contrast with the red and white! Cool scene!
perpetualrevision
Thank you, CoolDimension! Bulldow comes with several textures, and this bright red one seemed the most appropriate for a fairly "toony" scene. Plus the art effects app really made the red pop! I thought it was a fun spot of color against all that snow!
eekdog
better break out the shovel, dynamite winter fantasy.
perpetualrevision
At this rate, Hein and Aina are going to wish they'd invested in a snow blower! I know we certainly do :-) Thanks for the comment, eekdog!
Radar_rad-dude
A very fun scene! Very nicely accomplished! Most humorous work!
mazzam
Cue scene. Love the little house.
donnena
So much fun! even with all that white stuff!
perpetualrevision
The white stuff can be a lot of fun, as long as someone else is doing the shoveling! :-)
Thorwald
So cute!
ahnada
Such an animal in such a season interesting, if not a witch's house then it or a creture cell from the outside :) Good job..
MajinBoo
Great art effects in this render once again you get that storybook illustration vibe. I hope Bulldow is being helpful and isn't hungry for gnomes.
perpetualrevision
Eek, I hope he's not hungry for gnomes either! He was very nice and polite when he offered to shovel them out, but then again, the Big Bad Wolf probably would've been nice too! Maybe I should've tried giving him a bit more of a smile :-)
