Description
Found this oldie in cache and as I don't have anything ready I figured I'd post though it's a bit primitive. Nice to have something with an appropriately marked Emile and an appropriately textured 120 in the same scene. Greybro's Haunted World Abandoned Drive-In didn't come up in the asset scroll-down for Desciple3d so I cited it here. Makes a great airfield if you try hard enough. I'd probably would move things around a bit while still trying to give the impression that the Emile's pilot had a tight run and the girl parked a little close to the end of it for whatever reason might prompt such behavior. She's actually eye locked on the plane but she doesn't quite look right...it's all off here and there but that was then and now is now.....

eekdog
magnificent blur on the prop. pov is also super.
jdwtrxk
Thanks eekdog - prop credit goes the the asset. All I had to do is position the blades. POV was fun - the lady doesn't seem the least bit worried about getting struck. Pilot maybe not so much.
Radar_rad-dude
A most fantastic image! Great looking scene elements and a fine looking lady! Great setting too! Many kudos from me! Bravo!
jdwtrxk
Thanks radar - the girl is on old version of the notorious Mary....highly recommend any of Greybro's Haunted World HDRIs.
Richardphotos
a close shave or not, he missed giving a haircut. superb work
jdwtrxk
Thanks Richard - now ya got me thinking it would have been neat to toss the young lady's hair. 'Greer' has some pretty good adjustments if I recall....
UteBigSmile
Your new graphic looks great and I like it very much. I wish you already a nice weekend.
jdwtrxk
You too Ute!
tuvoc
Interesting picture. Did it occur to you that the German Messersmidt 109 is taking off over a girl in a British Jaguar sports car? That probably wouldn't have happened.
jdwtrxk
Hi Tuvoc - of course it occurred - and it's more likely than a Tiger 1H parked behind the same 120 in front of a New York Brownstone. Did that too.
jdwtrxk
Hope you realize I was being facetious Tuvoc - left off the emoji :)
mickale
cool! like it..
jdwtrxk
Thanks mickale - was an oldie to test the then new Drivein HDRI. With such a big open area....
starship64
Very nicely done!
jdwtrxk
Thanks starship - was fun.
pchef
Beautiful car but I also like the Me109
jdwtrxk
Thanks pchef - 120 was a beauty.
Saby55
Excellent work my friend 👍🙋♂️
jdwtrxk
Thanks Sabby - always fun to mix fun things in a setting for pure gosh and golly.

I'm surprised that you're so unsatisfied with it, JD. My only complaint is that the color and brightness are like a very slightly underexposed photograph but, in the end, that contributes to the feeling of it being a real picture of real persons and objects. Of course, perfection is always the enemy of good enough... >.<
Thanks for sharing it, my dear!

Hi Molly. The scene was a test (aren't they a/ways) back in the day...actually brightened the scene from the stock setting a little despite my penchant for darkish scenes. The HDRI is set up for an partly overcast day which perfectly suits a 'haunted world'. Still highly recommend Greybro's HDRIs. They might work in Poser.
Digging up the oldies mitigates a lack of direction until I run out. Same problem persists - lots of ideas and assets but insufficient motivation to push forward. I'll try one today....
paul_gormley
I like the mood and atmosphere the low lighting gives, the kind of spy thing, but unbeknownst to the escaping courier Biggles is waiting up there with a supermarine Mark V spit... making for a great dogfight...
jdwtrxk
Works for me paul, though at the time I was thinking something more like a cute girl with a cool car with a friend into vintage aircraft....:)
The Mark V Spit - sorta had the misfortune of being the current variant when the 190 emerged. Had some trouble with the 109F and the A6M in Australia as well, but it was an all round decent airplane. Loved in in flight sims back in the day.....
longprong
Very cool.....very atmospheric
jdwtrxk
Thanks longprong, tossing cool stuff into a good HDRI can be a lot of fun. Think I had an earlier version of this with the contemporary "Upscale Roadster" but then the 120 came out....
Nightwind
Great imagery for a test :) Perhaps she's early for the show...
jdwtrxk
Thanks Nightwind - just about every scene starts out as a test. So many cool assets available on sale...:)
romangirl
Great image!
jdwtrxk
Thanks romangirl - was fun!
A_Sunbeam
Nicely done!
jdwtrxk
Thanks sunbeam - was fun.
MagikUnicorn
Marvelous
jdwtrxk
Thanks Magic - was fun!
BellaDark
Something like this, with no explanation, really makes me wonder what the story is, as I think there is a rich one. Wonderful illustration! :)
jdwtrxk
Thanks Bella - was thinking the same whilst putting it together but in the end it was cool stuff in a great HDRI :)
