Description
It’s time for that scene* everyone remembers from the play. Will Hamlet remember his lines?

When I mentioned to a friend that I’d just gotten a toon pig named Hamlet, she asked if he came with a skull prop, and the next thing you know, this happened :-)
I truly never would’ve guessed I’d have a use for this freebie stage prop, which is perhaps a testament to the value of being a runtime hoarder. Because you just never know!
(* the scene is, of course, the "Alas, poor Yorick! I knew him, Horatio" speech Hamlet gives in Shakespeare's play, as he addresses the skull of the jester who was once his friend. That Hamlet the actor is playing Hamlet the character is a bit "meta" :-)

This is very likely a small community theater production of Hamlet, if the small stage size is any indication! And poor Hamlet the actor couldn't actually hold Yorick's skull to address him as Hamlet the character, so improvisations had to be made :-)

Oh this is just way too clever! I love it! To be... and the question goes on? Marvelous ingenuity in the creation of this 'tender morsel' or 'slice of life?' LOL! Thanks for your fun comments! As a fellow "ham," Hamlet does take some exception to being referred to as a "tender morsel." But then I put him in a pan and covered him with honey and he quieted right down :-)

I cannot match Rad for puns but I can honestly say it's a very clever an visually amusing picture that's even funnier when you know the little piglet's name. =) As for being a runtime hoarder, let's not go to deeply into that.... >.<

Thanks, Molly. it didn't occur to me until I'd already posted this that some people would think of Hamlet's "to be or not to be" speech as the most famous, but actually his address to the skull of Yorick is just as famous and often quoted, possibly b/c when you see it in the play, it's a bit disturbing!
Here's the full speech: "Alas, poor Yorick! I knew him, Horatio. A fellow of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy. He hath borne me on his back a thousand times. And now how abhorred in my imagination it is! My gorge rises at it. Here hung those lips that I have kiss'd I know not how oft. Where be your gibes now? your gambols? your songs? your flashes of merriment that were wont to set the table on a roar? Not one now, to mock your own grinning? Quite chap-fall'n? Now get you to my lady's chamber, and tell her, let her paint an inch thick, to this favour she must come. Make her laugh at that."
