Description
Wanted to do a winter scene as it's time to say goodbye to chill and grey skies. This one started out as a blustery night scene with falling snow but it bogged down too much for my taste and ended up in early morning with our girl Mel making her way down a coarse road with Bubba and his dog appraising her from behind. Mel's predicament and Bubba's intentions are anybody's guess...
As always, I highly recommend anything from Sangriart.

superB render with an outstanding atmosphere of fear
jdwtrxk
Thanks brain - she certainly has cause for concerns, even if it's hoping Bubba will share the road...:)

You did an excellent job in putting this scene together, it looks fantastic! As far as Mel's predicament in this render, if I may take the freedom to guess...I think Bubba and his dog are about to ask Mel if she would like to join them at their favorite restaurant for breakfast! She will most likely say yes....since how can she pass on this invite on such a splendid morning! :-)

Thanks Johnny - originally this scene was a night shot with lots of impending doom but I didn't have a suitable backdrop and the assets were impeding runtimes. Ended up with this in substitute and sorta like the morning setting with more speculation regarding Mel's fate. Plenty of time and assets in cache to plop the youngish lady somewhere else...:)
eekdog
hope that driver is not a killer. POV is amazing.
jdwtrxk
Thanks eekdog - Mel hopes so too, Then again, maybe she has a Sig in that bag...

Thanks mif - Mel is a great character and Bubba - well, he's Bubba.

Wow! A very nice sense of the real world here. If you were looking for some sense of tension and/or potential peril, I'm not sure how you would do that visually. Perhaps giving us a bit more of her face as though she is turning away from just having noted Bubba and his dog in the truck? A hint of uncertainty or fear on her face would totally change the mood of the picture. You've set yourself quite a challenging task if I understand you.
All that aside, the image is actually quite beautiful. =)

Thanks Molly - she does have a rather concerned expression which I should have highlighted more but couldn't without changing the camera angle. Might have been a good idea regardless as Mel has a distinctive face. Think I'll do another scene with her. Always something brewing in the apocalypse...

Well, Bubba looks like a sort of honorable kind of a bloke in his bright red (neck) pickem up truck. (LOL) Stereotypes called? At any rate, I think if he doesn't have honorable intention, the most honorable Rex, his dog, will put an any to any dishonorable ideas he might entertain with the lady! Ami I right? At any rate, a first rate image and a super fine render! Great idea and most superb results, my friend! Kudos galore from me!
jdwtrxk
Thanks Radar - like so many scenes it went on a tangent...:)
bakapo
Good point of view. The weather looks cold. I hope she's safe.
jdwtrxk
Thanks bakapo - she does too :)

this is first class composition and such a realistic scene. if he does not offer a ride, I will do it myself!
I can handle cold weather, but here has been windy almost all day and everyday. with 2 more cold fronts headed this direction with a forecast of high winds
jdwtrxk
Thanks Richard - had a little persistent chill here too, though yesterday was warmer. Of course it rained...
romangirl
Great scene! No where to run!
jdwtrxk
Thanks roman - she survives though - working on her post apocalypse scene.

Glad!

Awesome POV and love DA TRUCK
jdwtrxk
The Retro Truck is set up to be a real grunge-beater but has some alternate textures including the red metallic which transform it rather well. All I did was switch out the chrome texture and add a dirt layer per the setting.
jdwtrxk
Err thanks Magik - left that rather important part out :)

Your new image looks fantastic once again!

Thanks as always Ute!
