Description
"How on Earth did Lena get herself into so much trouble, Gregor?" Brooke wanted to know.
The big man sighed. "Little sister is too smart and too talented, Brooke. She runs 4 or 5 websites, has many contacts with intellectuals and dissenters. She is also good with code and network management. She was careful; most know her only as 'headcleaner'. When it became clear to her that FSB probably learned headcleaner's true identity she knew it was time to run."
Pixie, who had continued to watch Lena consume her salad perked up at the mention of 'headcleaner'. "What, what? Your sister is 'headcleaner'. I follow his exploits.. er... at least I thought headcleaner was a dude. Wow! You're headcleaner?"
Vladlena nodded. She did not look up from the salad continuing to chew as though nothing else mattered.
"She's like... you're like.... FAMOUS!" Pixie's interest now crossed a line as her gaze remained focused on the distressed Russian girl. She realized this achingly beautiful girl was also something of a genius. To Brooke she murmured, "She can stay in my part of the cave. I've got the second bed and she'd probably like access to my rig."
"Fine, Pix. I was thinking you had more room." Brooke turned to Gregor. "So me and Pix know nothing of this. What are you going to tell the Professor?'
Gregor grimaced. "Unfortunately she must know truth and agree to assist in deception. Once she helps with records and paperwork, deception is over and status is no longer a charade."
"Heavy!" Brooke opined.
Molly's art notes: Set up and rendered in Poser 12.0.757 using the Superfly Cycles 2 rendering engine and then tweaked a bit in Photoshop. Patricia "Pixie" Dust is based on Erogenesis' wonderful Project Evolution One. Vladlena Bubnoff is a character based on the much neglected Bella 1.2 mesh by Ali (get it at his website, Mankahoo). Her big brother Gregor (whom you have met before) is based on L'Homme with morphs and textures by the amazing Tempesta3d. Brooke Potts is based on Dawn and is also modified with material from Tempesta3d. The setting is by Blue Tree Studio.

Nice continuation of the story and a juicy new tidbit about Lena's talents and notoriety (at least online)! Love the closeup of Pixie's "crushing" expression, plus her very cute boots! I'm glad Lena will be staying with Pixie, so they can get to know each other a bit better :-)

Thank you, Amy. I do, indeed, have some story in mind for Pixie and Lena; the Pix is thoroughly lovestruck as only an innocent with few inhibitions can be. =)

Is it me or is Pixie cuter than Lena? Maybe it's on account of flirtation over mastication, but that's my POV and I ain't changing :)
I remember glasses like Pixie's in the '60s. Wouldn't be surprised if they are coming back.
There's a very nice Hacker Hideout setting by Polish on deep sale in DAZ. Wonder if you can use it in Poser?

It's hard for me to pick who I think is cuter but I do have a very weak spot for Pix; she's been a character in my Mollyverse for a longer time than Vladlena and her innocent enthusiasm adds to her elfin physical attraction (I hope). Her "cat's eye" glasses are pretty much a hipster/hacker affectation and she might discard the style if it became mainstream. I think it's of a piece with her "off the wall" goth/punk clothing choices.
Thanks for pointing me toward the hacker hideout. I may purchase it sometime as it's perfect for the likes of Lena and Pixie but I'm not up for the work of converting it right now (someone needs to come up with a utility that makes that even easier than Ken1171's DUF converter) and it's no longer on sale. =(
I plan on keeping this story going (we'll see; I say that about a lot of things) and also "Odd Couple" and I've a new comic book style offering in the pipe line.
