Description
Uffizi Gallery, Florence, Italie
Marcel Duchamp said that "the viewers make the paintings" to insist on the fact that the meaning of a work does not belong to its creator or to experts, but to the public who encounters it. I start a new series with the concept that "the painting makes the viewer". I take as a subject of study, the behavior, the feeling of the viewer as a mirror of the work. Quite quickly, the metaphor of the pregnant woman came to me, to suggest that art gives life to a part of our interiority. I will place, in each image, this symbolic character of a hyper receptivity, facing an off-screen painting. The blurred background refers to the reverse shot of this painting in the exhibition room as it is presented in Google Arts & Culture / Museum explorer. Accessories and the name of the artist placed on the bra will be additional clues for those who want to discover these paintings much more admirable than my images. Good visit.

I didn't know that Titian's real name is Tiziano Vecelli. I was already a bit familiar with his images. Now I'm busy trying to find the image inspired this image. I am very much enjoying the series as I have with previous series you have shared since I started following you. I am certainly pleased every time I see that you have added a new image for me to enjoy. =)

"Flora"?

From the pose I had initially thought Venus with a Mirror, then thinking back to the little details (as with Manet's cherries), the red flowers led me to Urbino.... I'm very much enjoying this journey!

Yes, it is the Venus of Urbino, who welcomes the viewer with her beguiling eye
