When the students of St Tibb's High School find out that the toilets are going to remain closed indefinitely (at least, for an unknown length of time until all of the mouth badgers are cleared out of the school) and all the girls from Years 7 through 11 will have to continue using the portable toilets the school has brought in until the situation is sorted, there is a general feeling of resentment throughout the student population. At the back of 8W's form room, Holly Hewson tries to be the calm and rational voice of reason amongst all of her upset and angry classmates, and she attempts to explain why it is dangerous to have mouth badgers around and why the school had to do this. A few students listen to her justification but others, such as Penelope Cornwell, remain convinced that this is the worst thing that has happened to her ever, and storm out of the room, displaying the ultimate performance of spoilt pettiness. (They are students at a private school, after all, so it's only natural some will feel highly entitled to a cosy and perfect life.)
