I'm just Molly. Mrs. Mike was my ID for many years when I modeled for my deviant husband, Mike B. It was Mike that introduced me to Poser.
I have modeled in real life a bit. My introduction to 3d imaging was through making pictures of my adventures in Second Life and over the10 years I've been learning Poser and making Poser pictures. In real life, I am a near completely retired health care professional and a full time grandma. In my digital life I am a Second Life heroine, a Second Life villainess and here and at Deviant Art I'm a budding 3D artist.
My next big project is to learn Blender.

Excellent composition and i think the POV negates any need for more office, though the props are neat. Would be neater still to see more, as most of the Institutions are cluttered with mementos of past adventures. Then again, more might take away from the characters...

Heh. Yes, you have identified the dilemma I face as an artist; I usually resolve it in favor of being close enough to enjoy the characters. In this case, the more "pulled back" image that I did not feature added the additional dimension to the story of shadowy listeners to the conversation between Agents Books and Braun. In the end, I still felt that the featured picture that gave a better PoV of the characters was the winner. Since the characters are not mine I'll not likely do a full story with them, but I figure they may show up once and again as I love them. XD

some mysterious objects cruising above.. love the great render details and props.

Thanks! I assume you mean the two steam crab drones hanging above the conversation. =)

Cool scene Molly !
MollyFootman
Thanks! It used up most of my little lappy's memory but came out well, if I do say so myself! XD

Fine scene and setting.

Thank you, Mazzam! It challenged the resources on my laptop! XD

A good steampunk scene. The props are cool and the point of view is good, too.
MollyFootman
Thank you, my dear. I assume you mean the featured PoV as opposed to the second, wider angle view. It was hard to decide and I'm glad that I included them both. I love Steampunk and should get back to my Lilja Darkstar story one of these days. =)

Ah, yes, that weapon does indeed scream "subtlety" (if such a concept can be "screamed") :-) I'm not sure I want to see the beast that makes Ms. Braun feel the need to carry such a formidable weapon, but if the beast is quite large, then perhaps the weapon will seem to it as inconsequential as a mosquito -- hopefully to the beast's peril! If the ministry's goal is to do their work under the veil of secrecy, then perhaps they should not go hunting such large and attention-attracting beasts!
What a fun steampunk scene! Love the POV of the first one, but the second one does raise the question of just who's spying on the conversation.
MollyFootman
Heh. I'm glad you found the idea of Miss Braun being subtle a bit incongruous. XD In the first book of the Ministry of Peculiar Occurrences series she is introduced as the action hero and Agent Books is much less inclined to be assertive. I found it hilarious and it inspired this homage to the characters. Since they aren't mine, I doubt I'll do a full story but I am sure I'll be unable to resist another picture or two. Just have to get back into a groove now that I'm home and done with travelling this year (AFAIK). XD

Now that 've noticed the second scene....
The spies above the skylight add the dimension I think you were trying to convey, which would indeed be a critical element should the story continue. I like the touches the expanded scene provides, including the hat on the statue, the cluttered desk and the oriental rug which is placed rather oddly but would hide the compass rose medallion otherwise...
And for that Monstrous Firearm of Death - having no exposure to the series I have no idea regarding its origin or construction, but maybe a few good metal shaders would add substantiality (yes, I used an 'ality' word despite a complete disdain for trendy language). It's cool regardless and they're aren't any 88L71's in steampunk worlds...
Typically great Mollywork. Always waiting for more :)
Steampunk lives!.
MollyFootman
Heh. Thanks for the additional feedback, JD. I have to agree regarding some better shaders for Agent Braun's honking big gun. XD I admit that when working on my laptop I get kind of lazy about modifying materials as that function in Poser is slow even on better machines than my dear little lappy. ;-P I has no idea what is an 88L71 but am supposing it is another honking big gun. =)

Delightful!! I love the wear on the desk and the hat on the statue!
MollyFootman
Thank you! I think the bit of clutter really makes the picture and the hat on the statue was my favorite. =)

Wonderful image. Love the lighting and the POV really captures the whole scene from an interesting angle.

Thank you, Kellie. The hidden office content from Summoner is enclosed and working out a good camera position was tricky. I appreciate your comment! =)

Wellington Books? And I thought he was all about the footwear!
MollyFootman
Heh. Well, neither of the depicted is my original character but I tried to be faithful to the characters as described in the books. Wellington is a relatively peaceful man compared to Eliza Braun. XD

What fab scene... great visual storytelling. Inspires me to hunt down those books.... Eliza's pose and expression are spot on.

Thank you so much, Joe!

Subtle as a run away locomotive? LOL! A fine pair of images and I love the handsome Mr. Books! Makes me think of 007 in all his refinements! A very classical and wonderful pair of works! Many fine kudos from me! Again, so sorry for the lateness of this post!
MollyFootman
I probably should have put glasses on Wellington but I see him as refined and suave and I'm glad he came out that way for you, too! <3
Never worry about timeliness of comments, my dear! I'm always glad to hear from you whenever you have the time! =)
