Description
And yet another year is coming to an end, and I seem to have taken out a subscription to strange Christmases. It seems to me that the last few Christmases have all been strange and not as usual, or maybe they were never "normal", but I never noticed that until recently.
For many people in Eastern Europe, last year's Christmas was the last Christmas they might remember as peaceful and beautiful for a long time.
I have seen photos of last Christmas in Mariupol, the beautifully decorated streets and buildings - the last Christmas of its kind. The unnecessary, reckless and brutal war instigated by a brain-sick Vladimir Putin and his mafia has turned the beautiful city on the Black Sea into a smoldering ruin, killing thousands of innocent people.
Thousands of families have lost loved ones they had last Christmas. And those who survived will either have a lonely, tearful Christmas in a foreign land they had to flee to, or they will be sitting in a ruin, or at least in a cold and dark house where there is no light, no heat and no water, and some of their loved ones are fighting on the front lines against bandits and criminals who have invaded the peaceful land like a horde of orcs and urukhais in Middle Earth. They came to kill, destroy, burn, steal, rape and deport innocent people and children from their homeland deep into Russia, the Mordor of Europe. Thousands of newly dug graves with the year 2022 on their tombstones and wooden crosses fill the cemeteries and surrounding areas of many Ukrainian villages and towns, and pain, tears and grief lay heavy on the Ukrainian people as Putin, his despots and many of the Russian people celebrate another peaceful Christmas in their warm and cozy rooms in Moscow and St. Petersburg - except for those thousands of Russians in the poorer areas who have also lost loved ones in the senseless government-instigated meat grinder in a foreign country.
May all those suffering under Putin's Nazi dictatorship experience peace, comfort and justice, and may this horror be brought to an end in the coming year.
Have a nice Christmas time and a happy new year and: Слава Україні (Slava ukraini)
I ticked the "Profanity" Flag, because I use some not so nice words against Putin and his despots...
