Description
~Best Friends~
Fantasy Elven ladies having fun at the lake. Established the framing and poses in Poser, exported as masks, and fed it to Stable Diffusion to render the scene. I wanted them to have different skin tones and eye colors, but SD makes it difficult, so I did it in postwork where I have full control. Image composed in Poser, rendered in Stable Diffusion, with postwork in Paintshop.

That's certainly an interesting creative process, Ken. If I get back to fooling around with AI I'll have to see if I can figure out how to integrate some of my Poser compositions in the way that you have mentioned. I honestly have some difficulty visualizing how it would be done.

Thanks, Molly! We can get a general pose with prompts, but we have no control over specifics. That's where ControlNet comes in, allowing us to extract a pose from an image we provide. It generates a color-coded skeleton that represents the pose, and that's how we can transfer 3D poses into SD. Although this is definitely useful, this process is rather flaky because it suffers from camera occlusion, something that has always plagued camera-based MOCAP. This also means some poses can become ambiguous and generate incorrect rotations. Anyone who has tried Kinect mocap will know how this is. But it's better than nothing. ^_____^
