“Returning “ Print 128 As I stated in earlier prints that I have created I cannot emphasize more my love and admiration for the First Americans and other indigenous people of the world. It is my opinion that their customs and way of life have shaped a strong foundation from which we can all learn and survive. Moreover, the legends and stories that these majestic people have to tell are being passed down from young and old alike, in hopes of keeping the culture flourishing. Here in this illustration “Returning “I have tried to bring to the forefront the most prominent of these luminary tales. Among Native American individuals the white buffalo is thought of to be the most sacred of all the spirit animals, and with its triumphant return, the Native American people believe that this ceremonious four-legged brother will bring back the Native way of life, and once again live in peace, and harmony. I hope the “Returning” is soon. We all need it.
