Description
~Your Blondness~
In the "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" (1953) movie, Marilyn Monroe brought up an interesting point. As she began her modeling career in the mid-1940s, Norma Jeane Mortenson started dyeing her hair blonde after being advised to do so to improve her chances in the modeling industry. Her natural brown hair was nearly never seen ever since.
A decade later, she gradually lightened her hair to the iconic platinum blonde that she became famous for. This transformation was a process of multiple bleaching sessions, so by the time she starred in that movie (1953), her platinum blonde hair was already her signature look, cementing her image as the "platinum blonde bombshell".
The ironic side of this is that Norma was already stunningly beautiful with her natural brown hair, but her agent believed she wouldn't go far in the industry with her natural beauty and captivating persona alone.
But here's the thing - if a woman believes that being blonde will make her more attractive to men, dyeing her hair can boost her self-confidence. This increased confidence can, in turn, make her more outgoing and engaging, which can be attractive to others. In a way, the belief itself can create a self-fulfilling prophecy! 😁

Body image is everything. Poor Norma Jean Baker may have been better off if she had never been "discovered".

Indeed, Norma was quite something - she could model, sing, dance, and act, but it was her captivating persona that set her apart. To this date, nobody could sing happy birthday like her! ^___^
