Description

*"I am abstract with some memory" Paul Klee ------------------------ purely Painter. Subject: "My Attic Window" ------------------------- One of the most famous and flourished Movements of 1900 is beyond any doubt the Abstractism, due to its utter revolution of the so longlasting concept of art like "Reality imitation".The abstractism pushed the will of the artist of expressing himself through the piece to its extreme consequences: if art is not outer reality representation anyway, but a mere projection of the artist's inner acknowledge and feeling (for how much his feelings are blossoming out from reality's inputs) then we have to exceed what even expressionism was doing, and cubism, and not restrict ourselves to just projectin our inmost life in the object we paints, but as well, avoid to paint real objects in full, and visualizing by lines, colours, and free expressivity not bound by any real link what we have inside. The painter, the visual artist, has then to come to the happy intuition of the musicians, who abstray from reality through his art, and at the same time, comprehending all reality with what they do. In tones and vibes. The abstractism wants to pursuit a similar path than music does, by relating only on reciprocal relationship among colours, lights, lines, spaces and volumes. If music is abstract art, then the paint becomes abstract as well. The painter will come to the pure essence of his art, not anymore a representation, but a statement in itself. These are the guidelines of abstractism, but outside from the design concepts, many artist belongin to abstractism found very personal ways to be "abstract". Kandinskij,Marc, Macke, Kubin, all found their own languages. And many of them actually found in the nature and in the objects the first sparkling of their inspiration. I will relate on Paul Klee here, for defining the roots and inspiration for my abstract piece, as he was never thinkin of his abstract art like something totally stranger from reality around, and in this I can relate enough as well.Contrariwise, he was assuming that, living daily all of us immersed in reality, our perceptions and inner feelings forcedly are a reaction out from the contact with reality. In all cases, also when his art seems to have no link with any real object, Paul Klee has instead a real object inspiration which gets transformed in an abstract, eternal, "perfect" concept of balance and beauty.Paul Klee links his massive language in art to the powerful messages of colours. Feed with many Countries's art (classic Italian Art, German expressionism, the French revolution, Van Gogh, Braque, Picasso) it's after a trip in Africa he gets mesmerized by the power of light from the Tunisia's sun. And his career of designer changes. His paints, linked to reality as we said, tranform teh reality: the object he sees and paints suggests to his creative mind, by associative process and innerly elaboration, a new shape of it which is not its representation, but an inmost offspring from the artist's intention. Not a filter, like in Expressionism. Not something to penetrate in the essence of like in cubism. In Klee then, the importance of the line comes from his studies as grafphic designer: it's the sign which articulates itself and coordinates with others signs for create a poetical module linked unbreakably with the colours. From Abstractism blossomed out various branches, all deserving a massive attention, and often blossoming in teh ferhele territory of Russia:the Suprematism with Malevic,The Constructivism, the Realism, the Preoductivism.. A particular creative force was then Piet Mondrian who developed in Holland an abstract school devoted to the development of a concept of abstractism pushin forward the basis of cubism as acknowledge of reality through the no real shapes. That school and manifesto,(known also as NEOPLASTICISM), highly important in the story of visual art, is "De Stijl".

Dear Meli...I love an artist who actually takes the time to know about art..that is exciting to me! Excellent colors, depth, lines and angles provide us with the espression of non-expression...after all, isn't that what abstractism is all about...the freedom from figurative concepts to concept art. I love your work Meli!

This one wakes me up with a slap to the face and I feel as if I have just injected 40 or 50 gallons of coffee in my veins! I start running around the room kicking things upside down yelling PIZZA! PIZZA! WHO STOLE MY PIZZA PIE!? at the top of my lungs. My eyes are as bright as light bulbs and my fiery breath burns down the house so that all is left is me and my computer and hear I am...Tootles!

Molto bello... forse un po esitante sulla "cornice" (a destra in alto) ho l'impressione che il colore sia troppo scuro... Niente di grave comunque. Complimenti !!!

I agree with LilLau, you've created way better things than this one. Funny how people's opinion can diverge in front of abstracts. But I still like it, don't get me wrong.

Mmmm this is cool and rich with colors. Very tranquilizing colors! I like the abstract and even it is in one way or another in many works chaotic it gives very interesting harmony and plays with our imagination! Excellent!
