Marvellous work Stefano! Beautifully posed! Perfect POV and lighting. I love that glow about the character. Textures are supreme! I'm also very glad you decided on sepia, it gives it a sort of melancholic touch. Excellent job!

Very powerful art. You succeed in going way beyond propaganda, giving this image as it were a timeless quality. And the only timelessness is now, now without past nor future. Whatever ranking people give reflects more their own, and personal opinion on a work. Neither a hmmm or an excellent can change anything ever. My personal opinion is that this is an excellent work. Not because of its message (which I share with you) but because of the emotional rendering of how fragile we all are. Some need hitech weapons to hide behind, some need the certainty of an amoral majority that never outgrew the level of witch hunting. Yet some accept it, and for those the cracks in the walls open, and the rays of the Sun show them a rainbow. Let's not close these cracks ever again...

Not bad, not bad at all. I disagree vehemently with the mroe extreme anti-war views, and mildly with the folks who oppose it due to politics, and not at all with actual pacifists.

I believe we are doing the right thing in Iraq right now, in spite of the painful process used to make it happen. OTOH, your artwork is well done, and there is no sense in bashing someone's sense of art simply because of their politics. (I've abstained from ranking it, however... a subjective thing having to do with the message, but not your wonderful execution of it.)

You and I disagree on the war, but that doesn't mean this isn't a VERY powerful and emotional work. It's certainly one of your best. It gets my vote on artistic merit alone. Well done!

I want to thank you all for the wonderful comments. Really. But, specially, I want to thank those who, in this same page, expressed their disagreement with the message of the picture and with the ideas I tried to convey. It's very important, and now I'm really happy to have chosen to leave all the options open like usual. Really thanks a lot.

Beautiful image with a strong feeling of dread. This is what it must be like for many who are involved in thie war, allied troops and Iraqi civilians alike. This is an excellent piece and what I've come to expect from you. Great work.

Complimenti
