Description

This is a Colored Pencil Sketch of Cher using Prismacolor Verithin and Col-Erace Colored Pencils. Postwork was accomplished in PSP8. There was a Soft Focus applied, Frame, Background, Rose, and the design on the Table was done through PSP8. I also applied sparkles to her earings and necklace. Thank you for taking a look and as always, I welcome your constructive comments, helpful hints, etc. Cheryl

It does have that Cher "What's a Mother to do?" look and you've added the youth of Chastity to it. I can hear the voice belting out a voice on strong!! Something from "Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves" on cassette in a Panasonic portable recorder through Radio-Shack mini-bookshelf speakers with my patented exponential scroll roll ups.

Love it :) Cher would love it too because you made her very graceful, and I guess she would totally adore this. Hugs :)

Cheryl - you have indeed found your niche as an artist - and that dear lady is color! Your B&W imagery has traversed the gamut from amateur to seasoned pro - but 'color' has brought a new depth and life to your portraits that few others ever achieve. I do believe that working in color has enthused and infused you with an exciting new strength - and your attention to detail has improved tremendously. Case in point - you were careful to give her right eye (our view) a bit of a pinched look from the placement of her hand - and this you applied also to the corner of her mouth. PSP8, (I just received my version yesterday) has many exciting features, and I'm sure your art will continue to get better and better - I certainly look forward to your new color versions - another vote Cheryl, this is most excellent.

This work with the colours is definatly going well, I must say something, I think the eyes on this picture are the best set of eyes you've done so far in what I've seen, they look really good :) In fact the whole face is wonderfull. only bit im not to sure on is the hand but thats only a minor niggle :) (And its a difficalt pose for the hands to be in I think :)

Nice soft colors. I especially like the jewelery-beautiful contrast- and the humanness you put into this piece.

Those eyes are quite compelling... they could be a stand alone image in themselves. Great work all around... my mother is absolutely crazy about Cher, she always invites me to stay a little longer just to watch one of her videos (knowing full and well that I couldn't be forced to do so). She would love this one for sure:D Thank you for sharing this with us, your color work is looking fantastic.
