Description

This is a sketch I did using a drawing from a book called "Starting To Draw" by Wendon Blake, and Drawings by Ferdinald Petrie. This is similar to a portrait in a head drawing chapter, but I made a few slight alterations to it. I used a #1 pencil on grade 60 Strathmore Sketch paper for this one. Well this is profound...I love Pencil work, I love how the Devil has Nick hooked...once the Cigs get hold of You...there are few tougher Addictions. I am a "Born again Non Smoker"...for over 2 Years :)

I am happy to hear You don't smoke any more. This is indeed a tough addiction, as You must realize being a Born again Non Smoker. I have been smoking for seventeen yrs. now, (bit more than half my life now)and plan on quiting soon. I keep saying that anyways :-) I don't like to be hooked, as Nick is apparantly hooked here, but I don't think Nick really "loves" this feeling. See the tear? This is not a tear of joy on Nick. I think of some sadistic stuff sometimes, but in a sense this is what I think to be the case of addictions, nothing that can't be "unthreaded" though, so I must overcome this addiction is what I say to myself, and others. Thanks for taking the time to look at this Tedz, and for comments. :-)

great work dear :) Great pencil sketch :) Though the theme of May is actually "sexuality and Artistic expression".. so I dunno if this fits. It COULD though: don't people smoke after every sexual meeting? (I dunno.. I don't smoke and I never did....but I know many do ;))

looks like the devil certainly has his hook in him & he's turning to ash- thoughtprovoking- i know very well what an awful addiction it is but yet i still choose to poison myself... sigh good luck to us both!
