*in pitch dark i go walking in your landscape. broken branches trip me as i speak. just because you feel it doesnt mean it's there. just because you feel it doesnt mean it's there. there's always a siren singing you to shipwreck. (don't reach out, don't reach out) steer away from these rocks we'd be a walking disaster. (don't reach out, don't reach out) just because you feel it doesn't mean it's there. (there's someone on your shoulder) there there why so green and lonely? heaven sent you to me. we are accidents waiting waiting to happen. we are accidents waiting waiting to happen.* Radiohead, "There There", From album "Hail To the Thief" --------------------- Photoshop, 4 layers, 40 minutes work (but 6 failed trials before this came out ;)) from these pictures of mine -------------------- So, for once I wanted to try something dark ;). Not really fitting my way to be, or my days now, but a sense of living that was deeply, so deeply mine by time of my teenager days. Years after, even trying to catch always the bright side in life, I still walkin aware in the world because I know what means to suffer and to be scared for real, since my VERY first day here, I did feel landed and lonely. Then love reached me out, still, in so many ways. Growin means also to accept without drama the darker side of life. Knowing we're stronger, always stronger than it. The piece is also an homage to the awesome UK band Radiohead, whose fabulous gig I attended this past July 9th in Florence. An experience that I wish to you all to live as soon as possible. Their songs are way more than words (or this image) could describe. Enjoy you all (though it feels strange to say so for such an image ;)) and see you on Monday... I will attend a new marriage, and having a great weekend in Rome. CU in three days! :)

It looks quite sinister :) The low brightness, high contrast and some distortion of colors make the picture creepy; the dancing demons and your siren-like stare suggest merry-making, but in a fiendish way... Very impressive.

This is a very profound image Meli. It really speaks to the darker part of us and teaches us to embrace it...we do not need to take part in it to know it is a part of us, but we must acknowledge it is there and can teach us something.. I know that there are things in my life that I wish right now I had never done, but I also know that they have played a part in molding me to be a better person. Your insight through this amazing image is indeed life changing...if we allow it to be. Excellent blending of the photos and colors. Have a great day!...Cheryl

Demon, from the greek daimon, indicates originally the genius inside human beings. Many creatures looking like Melania live inside Melania's psyche and body, giving advices and warnings, talking and playing with her. This image is a rare and true example of a dialogue and choreography maintained between Melania and these creatures of her mind.

Everyone has got a dark side, sometimes it is eats you up and sometimes it is just "sleeping". Most of us try to work it out and look for the bright side. But keep it down is depending on the own strenght and also on friends or lovers. Glad you're such a strong girl, strong enough to work it out and even to share the bright side.
