Description

::: Part 12 of a series of Warbird Photos ::: Taken at the monthly event at the Planes of Fame Museum on Chino Airport, California. This month, it was on "Air War over Korea" (8/2/03) Aircraft are a Grumman FM-2/F4F Wildcat (the darker blue colored plane) and a Grumman TBM-3 Avenger (Torpedo Bomber). The TBM is the same type of plane that George Bush Sr. flew during World War 2. Both of these planes proudly sit in the USS Enterprise Hanger at the Planes of Fame Museum. The Hanger was built to resemble the inner flight ops of the famous WW2 Carrier where you probably would find planes like these. Camera is a digital Minolta Dimage 7hi (5 MP). This image has been shrunk down to 33% of the original full size. Manual Focus, custom White Balance.

That is a great shot ... flag background makes it. I think I might have cropped it so that the entire background is the flag instead of seeing the wall, but that's me.

Donald's got a point about the crop, but still an excellent shot...sharp and clean. Excellent detail. Reminds me of the models I used to build.
