Description

I'm just starting to work on this model. It's crude but I really wanted to experiment with Radiosity lighting. I thought the TIE Interceptor in the background was an interesting afterthought. Hope the scale with the pilot and the lighting provides a good representation of the TIE Fighter's true size. Star Wars stuff is a tough subject for references.

Being an SW modeller myself I have to say that this is very nice indeed. But your scale is off by 2 1/2 times on the pilot.

It's very difficult to determine the scale from Star Wars references. You can basically make up something and find it referenced somewhere. The consistancy in the literature and from others is very sketchy. I got the scale for the pilot from another (actual paid) artist who's way more knowledgeable than I am. I have no idea who would truly know the scale (I know I don't!).

Oh... I forgot to ask... Carrara supports radiosity??

No, I used four lights in this scene to fake radiosity. I hope someday that it will support radiosity!

Hey! - great start to these models! - Quikp51 is basically right though!, the scale of the pilot needs upping about 150%

whether the pilot's scale is "true" to the LucasCanon or not, it is a very reasonable size for him relative to his ship. Very nice models.
