Description

This is my first totally acrylic painting on masonite. I had troubles with trying to blend the paints because they dried so quickly. I chose the colors in this because I thought it would give it a romantic feel. It is 24" X 36" without the frame.

Oh this is so beautifully rich and not one muddy spot to be found which is so indicative of acrylics, especially first go! Brilliant work, in more sense than one ;) If you want to slow the drying time, see if you can pick up some drying retardant from the art store, if they don't have that, I find the impasto medium takes AGES to dry :) Thanks so much for sharing :D

A cross between cool and warm colours in this wonderful painting.....one question, can you use a watered down brush to blend the colours while their drying?......i used to do that with the old 'painting by numbers' years ago and it seemed to work with oils....just a thought as i dont know much about the media you use.....anyway, still a wonderful piece of artwork, well done. regards Marc XX :)
