Here I am! Hi everybody :)
What about me...Well,I'd love to make my living a pleasant and fruitful experience:I have always liked to paint and make drawings, but I never went to any school.
I love to write, and I like to express my soul in as many ways as I can think of...I don't consider myself an artist, though:I just love art. For more about me, just click here and visit my site.BIOI was born in Firenze, 17th of April 1977.
I am fond of everything which celebrates life and humanity:from writing, to painting, to music till sports and nature, all that captures my attention becomes an interest of mine.
If I'd die tomorrow, I would feel my life has been a worthy one already, but for every day that passes, I feel always more curious about it.
To be an artist (although I don't consider myself so,) means to have a personal vision about all that happens, equally outside than inside. For me it means also to try to connect with other's spirits in unexpectable ways and have an endless will of knowledge, and endless will to discover and test yourself and everything else, without fears, but with all possible emotions in the quest, and from the quest.
The world around it's therefore the best inspiration, all that is into it can touch the inner chords of my soul, although I can't say which way till it doesn't happen. And everytime it happens, it's a reveal, a miracle, and the vibes are the best one can feel.
Then sometimes I watch the blue sky, and I give shape to my heart and mind, and I float around... and smile for my live is really like I want it to be.
I have temporarily suspended my career as University Researcher, testing myself as Administrative Manager right now, and I still asking myself if what I got finally was awareness or disillusion, but anyway, it's my attitude to never regret anything that I made consciously.Let's give life a new try.
I am very fond of Foreign Cultures, they enlarge also my artistical perceivement of life, and it's something I find absolutely enriching.
I have never learnt English, so forgive me if I am not good at speaking nor writing it.
I can speak and write in French, I can read Spanish, I know Ancient Latin and Greek.
And of course, I am Italian so, my Mother Tongue has got no mystery for me.
Hooray for Dante! ;)

Fabulous work Meli! :D The picture, & story are great!

Well done for what it was you wanted to achieve. The feeling of tension is evident, as if the boy is wondering whether to run or to stand and fight.

i saw this alredy in the forum ;-) --yes i had a look at it - lol - and now as it is finished - wow - and now, meli, i had to tell you one thing, i dont want to hear from you that you are no artist again - hey, the anatomy of the hero (sigurd) is excellent - i am absolut speechless about that - wow - the whole composition is superb - very dramatic - and the dragon is also not too bad - meli you did a splendid fantasy illustration - i really would see this piece colored - this is more than excellent - and hey, i dont say that to make you compliments, i really mean it - this is superp - my hats up to you - congrats

Brava Meli. Mi piace il tratto non troppo rifinito che lascia spazio all'immaginazione. La figura del ragazzo bellissima, dimostra che hai una bella padronanza della tecnica (che ti invidio) :-)

I'm unsure if I should admit that this is my first trip into your gallery Meli - but as honesty is my first concern - I admit this is indeed my first visit. I was totally shocked at the number of comments I saw on each of your postings - but knowing only a small amount about you, it was easy to discern that many comments are from those who respect you as the warm-hearted, supportive woman you are. While your art is indeed quite good in a sense of style, technique and originality - popularity plays a significant role here. I should point out that there's nothing wrong with that, after all, popularity has been the defining if not the definitive model for why some rise to success and others don't. I like your art Meli, but likely for reasons not expressed in any of these numerous comments - although it has been touched on briefly. There's a beautiful "INNOCENCE" in your renders that illustrate an inner desire to display emotion as well as subject - in that you draw, sketch, paint what inspires you for the moment - giving your art a rare freedom, an element missing from 99.5% of all other art - including my own. Well done Meli - never forsake the innocence.

Oh dear! I'm almost afraid to comment now, for fear that Jim will chew me out!! :) But, since truth has ever been the order of the day for me, I will say that I love about this what I ALWAYS love about your work: your spirit, your passion, your intelligence and your love for life shines through it. And in this piece particularly, I loooooves Sigurd. He is beautifully drawn

Hmmm. Interesting comments. I admit I followed the trail here too. I know nothing about 2-D except that I admire anyone who can do it! My thoughts and comments probably wont mean as much as the folks who venture into the 2-D arena and can actually do it! But, with that said, I think this image is great. I am from the poser gallery and I dont think I could ever actually put pencil in hand and do this! So, from my point of view, I think it is wonderful. This is my opinion, Keep up the wonderful work. I am afraid I cannot leave helpful comments as I dont know squat about 2-D, all I can say is... I like this!!

I would very much like to see more of this.
